Chapter 3 - Starting the Mission

In the dense forest, something moved too fast for human eyes to follow, appearing as just a blur, leaping between the trees.

It was Radissa, still looking like the same cute little girl, but now a bit taller, about 110 cm now.

Over two and a half years had passed, and the little girl had fully accustomed herself to the dense jungle, having faced the largest predators in that region.

The climate always seemed the same; she didn't know if it was just that area, or if the entire planet was like that, as she had never left the forest.

This forest had the area of a large country from her old world, so even after spending so much time there, she still hadn't explored its entire extent.

The reason she had never left the forest, even though she had the ability to do so, was for her safety. She had already trained her Ki enough to sense others around her, so even without using a scouter, she knew what awaited her outside the forest.

Although the forest had some animals with about 500 PL, it was a low number, so while she was weak, she could simply avoid these rare animals. Outside the forest, there were hundreds of beings with power levels exceeding 500 PL, and thousands with power close to that.

Knowing that stronger enemies were outside the forest, she chose to train there, at least until her strength was sufficient to at least escape in case of danger.

Her new training was divided between controlling Ki, hunting the animals around, and lifting weights, which was usually done with rocks or the bodies of the animals she killed.

The gravity of this planet was 4.5 times that of Earth, basically half that of Planet Vegeta, so training there was already quite effective for her body.

Her strength growth, despite being able to train much better now, was becoming increasingly slow, not due to lack of effort or anything like that. The reason for this drop in performance was due to her aging.

The first few months of Saiyans were a time of accelerated growth, but this slows down over time. Around the age of 5, this growth in strength reaches a point of stabilization.

On average, from birth to age 5 of a Saiyan, their power tends to increase 6 to 8 times, meaning a baby born with 50 PL would have between 300 to 400 PL by the time they reach 5 years old.

Now, from age 5 until their maturity, which occurred between 18 and 21 years, their power increases 3 to 4 times, basically half, over a much longer period.

Because of her training, Radissa had completely deviated from this pattern. After all, she was born with only 19 PL, and currently, at just over 4 years old, she had reached an incredible 580 PL, which was already 30 times her initial power.

This power level was basically what was expected of her adulthood, an inferior Saiyan even among the low-class, but now she had reached this level before turning 5.

Radissa was proud of her results, but at the same time, the worry in her heart grew.

Standing on top of a tree dozens of meters tall, the little girl was looking at a fixed point on the horizon "My ship is already getting too cramped for my size. Even if my growth has a pause like Goku's, it will probably be after I'm too big for my ship... I can't wait much longer"

She took a step forward, where there was only air, but instead of falling from that height, her body stopped in mid-air "It's time for me to meet the true dominant race of this planet. If they have good ships, I'll steal one and be able to train here peacefully for another 3 years, but if they're primitive..."

A wide, almost frightening smile appeared on her lips, while her eyes glowed with an intense fighting spirit. "They'll become my training dummies!"

Then her body flew off, leaving the dense forest behind, while in front of her was what looked like a very distant village.

...

The day was as bright as ever. Radissa stood atop a structure that greatly resembled a house, a very antiquated architecture reminiscent of very old buildings from her past life.

'They seem to have some basic technology to create these houses and a few other things, but if this place is the standard, I doubt they have any kind of ship. They seem much inferior to Earthlings, actually' she thought, while making no noise, shrinking down to avoid being seen.

'They certainly don't use scouters and don't have a keen sense of Ki, or they would have seen me already. This will be too easy.' Silently, she quickly moved to another house.

Looking in one direction, she could see a small group of four beings who, in her view, were identical.

Their bodies were humanoid, but their scaly skin was red. Their bodies were covered in worn brown cloth that seemed to be a type of clothing for them, each wearing a slightly different shade, but all in tones of brown.

Their hands had only three fingers with sharp, curved nails, and their feet were similar. Their heads were slightly pointed, as were their long ears.

Their eyes resembled those of a crocodile, and their nostrils were just two small holes above their mouths.

'They're ugly as hell! I feel more and more motivated to just follow the Saiyans' plan' her expression of disgust made her distaste for seeing those creatures clear.

"Are you sure about this?" one of them spoke, drawing Radissa's attention, and she began to listen 'At least they speak'

One of the others, who was being stared at by the rest, nodded. "Of course, I would never say something like that without being sure. The king promised that his daughter would be given to the most powerful warrior who applies!"

Radissa could never understand the facial expressions of these beings, but the tone in their voice was enough; their excitement was quite obvious.

'They have a king... Well, if they are centralized by power level, this king must be that being with 1,080 PL' She continued listening.

Then another said "Even if it's true, it matters little. With so many warriors wanting her, none of us have a chance. Especially you, Mihal, you haven't even managed to kill an umbrax yet. How would you face a real warrior?"

"That's true..." The shortest among them ran a hand over his own head "But I don't even care about the princess. She's pretty, but there are others better. What I want by participating in this competition is to attract the attention of other girls. They'll see me fighting and think about how brave I am"

"Hahaha" one of them laughed heartily "You're hopeless, Mihal. You'll get a beating to impress the girls? I wish you good luck with that"

"The competition will happen in half a year. You should at least try to defeat an umbrax in that time. Courage is useless if you're just crushed and humiliated" another said.

"I've been trying to do that, but recently none have appeared nearby. I spent a whole day in the forest, but it seems there are only small animals. All the umbrax and even the titanus have disappeared" Mihal said.

"He's right, no large animals have been found in the last month" another spoke.

Hidden, Radissa chuckled. 'They must be talking about those huge animals. Unfortunately for them, I've already eaten most of the ones nearby. Besides serving as training, they are also a great source of juicy meat'

The conversation of those beings was still ongoing, but the little girl had already lost interest.

'If there's any ship on this planet, it shouldn't be in this remote village... There are only a few dozen of them here, and other settlements are hundreds of kilometers away...' With her thoughts concluded, she gracefully jumped to the ground.

Despite her jump, there was no sound coming from it. Her life in the forest, especially hunting, had accustomed her to being very silent.

Even when she had become the strongest in that dense forest, she still hadn't stopped being stealthy. After all, even if she could easily defeat those animals, what could she do against a group of them?

Although she had never felt in mortal danger, she had still experienced several battles where she preferred to retreat to avoid large groups of animals.

'If I try to face them all together, even being the strongest, I'll end up dead. So, I'll kill most of them before they even notice me!' With a smile on her face, she extended both arms forward.

With both hands, simultaneously, she pointed with her index fingers, while her thumbs pointed upwards, making the shape of a pistol. She aimed at the heads of two aliens.

Immersed in their conversations, they still hadn't seen Radissa, who was a dozen meters away, in their blind spot.

The little girl took a deep breath. When her lungs filled with air, she held it. In the next instant, two strands of Ki were fired, and following right behind was her in a silent run.

The Ki beams were slightly faster and hit the heads of two aliens, opening a hole in their place instantly.

The other two aliens were hit by splashes of blood and brains, while their eyes shone with the shock of seeing their friends falling dead in front of them.

However, they didn't have time to mourn. As soon as they saw the bodies falling before them, a strange figure emerged. It was little Radissa, who was already leaping over the bodies.

Her small hands had all her fingers outstretched this time, and as if they were a pair of sharp blades, she plunged them into the hard skulls of the other two aliens at the same time.

Silence. There were no more voices. The sound of the falling bodies muffled the cracking of the skulls. Perhaps if someone had been nearby, they might have heard something strange and looked, but that was not the case.

Two more bodies fell to the ground, while Radissa had stopped before them, shaking her hands, flinging the blood onto the ground.

'Even though I caught them off guard, it was still too easy to kill them. What a bunch of useless creatures!' She gave a sidelong smile, then flew upwards to get a view from above.

She didn't have her scouter, so she didn't know exactly how much power those four had, but she guessed it would be around 400 PL. This was also the average strength of the strongest animal she had found in the forest.

'I came here first knowing there was no one at my level, but I didn't expect taking down four of them to be so easy. If I keep killing them in isolation, I'll end up exterminating this place without even breaking a sweat... Let's do it the hard way' A sinister smile appeared on her lips.

Radissa raised both hands, and above her, a sphere of Ki began to form, growing non-stop. When it reached the size of a house, she launched it downwards, aiming at the center of the village.

"Die, all of you!" she shouted.

In a second, the energy sphere touched the ground, and a huge impact could be felt throughout the village. Despite the little girl's words, the intention of this attack was never to kill everyone, nor did it have the power to do so. The attack was to attract attention while causing enough damage to weaken some of them.

The shockwave spread in an instant. A huge crater had formed where the attack hit, and all those simple houses had been destroyed.

Throughout the village, only some rubble and those aliens remained, most of them injured, looking up at the sky to face their cute tormentor.
