Chapter 113-114 – Suspicious Elf

My relationship with Kiella continued after the day of her naked walk.

She realized that when she gets fucked in front of the Ruina room, she gets an extreme level of pleasure. As the days went by, she became more accustomed to having secret sex behind Ruina.

One quiet afternoon, about two weeks had passed without any major incidents.

I sat in thought, watching Kiella and Ruina chatting warmly in the living room.

'What should I do?'

First of all, I had managed to completely erase Kiella's hostility toward me. She no longer believed I was the kind of scum who would harm someone as innocent as Ruina. She didn't resist physical contact anymore and even seemed at ease when hugging me.

Her corruption status showed that she was at the stage of 'giving up.' She had no will to resist anymore. It meant she had begun to accept—and even enjoy—her current life, spending her days with Ruina and secretly having sex with me.

But making Kiella my sex partner was never the real goal.

My true aim was to make her genuinely repent for what she did in the past life and fully submit to me, as a way to take revenge on the queen.

What complicated things now was Ruina.

'Should I keep using her as leverage? Tell Kiella, 'If you want to protect Ruina, help me get revenge.'

It might sound like a simple plan, but the problem lay in its foundation.

If Kiella followed me only because of that weakness, and not because she truly wanted to, then everything would fall apart if that weakness disappeared. If something happened to Ruina—if she died or got taken hostage during a confrontation with the royal castle—Kiella could end up siding with them instead of me.

'Should I try to bring Ruina to my side too?'

But that wasn't really an option. She was too weak.

Rather than helping, Ruina could end up becoming a burden. That would make the same problem resurface again.

Besides, dragging an innocent elf into a revenge plot against the king felt wrong on many levels.

'Ideally, the bond between those two would just fade away…'

In truth, that had been part of my original plan all along.

If Kiella could let go of her feelings for Ruina and follow only me, the issue would solve itself.

Even though Kiella was completely obsessed with my dick, her feelings toward Ruina hadn't changed at all.

There was no reason to think her attitude couldn't shift in the future, but since there was no guarantee it would move in the direction I wanted, I realized I needed to take further action.

'Should I try persuading her first? If that doesn't work… I might have to threaten her with Ruina.'

The old saying about dealing with a problem quickly—like removing an ox's horn before it becomes dangerous—came to mind. With that thought, I approached the two elves who were deep in conversation, ready to act.

"Miss Kiella, could I talk to you for a moment?"

"Okay. Ruina, will you wait here a bit?"

"Yes, yes. Take your time."

Kiella followed me into her room and closed the door behind her.

Left alone, Ruina looked up, and her expression shifted.

"Are we… going to do it again?"

She began lifting the hem of her dress, revealing her underwear. Her face showed clear anticipation, probably because I had fucked her here so many times before. But this time, I had something else in mind.

"No. I really need to talk."

"…Talk?"

"I'll be returning to the capital soon. I want you to come with me."

"What?"

Her eyes widened with surprise. Then her tone turned firm and resistant.

"No. I need to stay with Ruina."

"Even if that means you'll never get to sleep with me again?"

"…Even then. I can't leave Ruina alone."

Just as I thought—her feelings for Ruina were deep and unwavering.

'Will I really have to use Ruina as a threat?'

I didn't want to give Kiella any room to betray me. But in this situation, I might have no choice.

'Or… should I go about this differently?'

What if I continued to train her body even more than before? Would she eventually surrender to me?

I hesitated. I wasn't confident which path would work best.

Suddenly—ding! ding! ding!

A loud bell rang from the living room.

It was the sound of the front door opening or someone ringing the outside bell—a signal installed so that Ruina, who had difficulty hearing, could know when someone arrived. It also alerted Kiella if someone returned from outside.

For context, when I once took Kiella out for a naked walk, I had removed the bell before leaving.

"Looks like someone's here. Sorry, but can we continue this later?"

I nodded reluctantly, and Kiella stepped into the living room.

The ones who had rung the bell were her servants—the ones who usually handled errands for her.

It wasn't unusual for them to come directly when something needed the lord's attention, and today was one of those times.

"A wandering elf from outside wants to settle in the village. We thought it best for you to meet him in person, so we came to get you."

"Understood. Dayke, can you keep an eye on Ruina while I'm out?"

I was about to respond when one of the other servants interrupted.

"Um… I think it would be safer if the knight came along too. He's an outsider—we don't know how he'll act."

"Dayke too? Then Ruina will be left alone…"

Kiella hesitated, then turned back to Ruina.

"There's some business I need to take care of. I'll have to go out with Dayke. Will you be alright here alone?"

"Of course. I was fine on my own before Mr. Dayke came, remember? Don't worry."

Ruina smiled brightly, trying to ease Kiella's concerns.

Satisfied, Kiella didn't press further.

"Okay. I'll bring you something tasty when I get back. Let's go, Dayke."

Not long after, we left the house and started walking with her attendants.

"But, Sir Dayke… your sword…"

"Oh!"

Thanks to one servant's reminder, I realized I had come out unarmed.

"My mistake. I'll head back and grab it. You go on ahead, my lord."

"Alright, Dayke. We'll meet at the village entrance."

It didn't make sense for the lord's escort to walk around without a sword, so I left the group and returned to the house.

As I opened the door and stepped inside, the bell rang loudly again.

Then I heard Ruina's voice.

"Kiella? You're back earlier than I thought…"

"It's me. I left my sword behind."

"Ah… Mr. Dayke…"

"Sorry. Didn't mean to startle you. I'll grab it and head right out."

"No, it's fine, hehe."

She waved her hands in embarrassment and laughed lightly.

But something felt off.

That feeling of discomfort came from the white cloth tied around Ruina's eyes.

'Was that cloth always crooked?'

Normally, the blindfold was neatly worn, but now it looked clearly disheveled. As if she had taken it off and quickly tied it back on without much care.

'Kiella is the one who puts that on every morning. And she always does it meticulously.'

There was no reason for Ruina, who was blind, to have engaged in any strenuous activity. Still, the way things didn't quite line up unsettled me.

Just then, Ruina spoke, her voice cautious as she tried to sense her surroundings.

"Mr. Dayke? Are you still here?"

"Yes? Oh, yes. I was just trying to remember where I left my sword. I've found it now."

"Ah, I'm glad."

Worried she might find my hesitation suspicious, I quickly grabbed the sword and stepped out of the room.

Ruina, meanwhile, couldn't shake off the uneasy feeling she had been writing about earlier.

...…..

...…..

[MC POV]

Later that night, I sat alone on my bed, deep in thought.

It wasn't about the wandering elf issue from earlier. That situation had been resolved quickly, as they were simply a peaceful group hoping to move here from another village.

What preoccupied my mind was what I had seen that afternoon—specifically, Ruina.

'Why was the blindfold crooked?'

Under normal circumstances, it might have seemed trivial. But when I looked back on everything, several small things about Ruina suddenly seemed off.

For instance, she refused to let anyone enter the house until I showed up. She claimed it was because she was shy, yet from our very first meeting, she spoke to me with surprising ease.

There was also the matter of her room. She never let anyone in—not even Kiella.

When Kiella cleaned the house, she always insisted her room remain off-limits. She said she was embarrassed and didn't want others seeing it, no matter what.

Individually, none of these things seemed like a big deal. If I hadn't seen what I did today, I probably would've let them go.

But that embarrassed look on Ruina's face… and the crooked blindfold she had clearly put back on in a hurry—it all hinted that she might be hiding something.

'I need to check.'

Unable to ignore the growing suspicion, I left my room.

But instead of heading to Kiella's room, which I visited almost every night, I turned quietly toward Ruina's room.

"…"

I slowly grasped the door handle and turned it. It opened without resistance.

The fact that she didn't lock it, despite not wanting people inside, meant she either trusted Kiella and me—or perhaps, she feared locking it would draw even more suspicion.

"…"

As before, Ruina lay fast asleep, completely unaware of her surroundings.

Her room appeared… too normal.

'Shouldn't there be something more distinct if she's so shy and protective of her space?'

I had visited once before with Kiella, but I hadn't looked around closely. Even now, everything looked completely ordinary.

'If there's really nothing here, why wouldn't she let us in?'

With that thought, my suspicion deepened. Maybe she wasn't hiding something visible at first glance.

I began searching carefully, moving as quietly as possible.

Even though Ruina had a problem hearing, I stayed cautious. I moved toward her desk and opened the drawer.

'Nothing unusual… Wait.'

On closer inspection, I noticed something strange. The drawer's base seemed slightly higher than the one in my room.

Feeling around more thoroughly, I discovered a hidden compartment.

Between the false and real bottoms, I found a notebook tucked away.

It looked different—instantly suspicious.

When I opened it, I was stunned by what I saw.

'A diary…?'

A diary written by Ruina—someone who was blind.

The shock of the discovery froze me for a moment. But what was written inside stunned me even more.

'Unbelievable.'

I couldn't move, overwhelmed by what I was reading.

But as I kept going, a slow smile crept onto my face.

'Looks like separating the two elves won't be as difficult as I thought.'
