Chapter 6 - Forgiving You Doesn't Mean I Won't Kill You

With every word Akira spoke, Hoss pain intensified. Gone was the confident demeanor he had earlier.

Now, he looked more like a lamb begging for mercy.

Before he could even utter a plea, a deep voice rang out.

"How boring. You don't even have the ability to resist. Gardevoir, Psychic!" A sense of foreboding surged within Hoss, an instinctive reaction of the body when faced with imminent death.

Yet, under the overwhelming pressure, he couldn't move an inch... he could only await the arrival of death. Darkness enveloped his vision, and Hoss consciousness completely vanished into the void

...

Moments later, Gardevoir retracted her pressure, and Hoss had already collapsed to the ground. The once-proud aura he boasted about was pitifully weak, unable to withstand even the slightest attack.

In the end, he died in a manner he had never imagined—brain death caused by a psychic impact, leaving him utterly lifeless.

As Hoss died, his aura dissipated, and his body began to disintegrate, It turned out that the aftermath of Hoss baptism wasn't just the shattering of his skin but damage that was much deeper.

The awakened aura and his shattered body had formed a delicate balance. The meager aura surged liked glue, holding his body together.

Now, with his life extinguished and the aura gone, his body naturally fell apart. It was almost laughable that he had boasted about crushing Akira, yet in the end, it was he who ended up shattered...

Gardevoir experience bar also showed a slight increase, as eliminating a D-class aura user provided her with a modest amount of experience. Indeed, it was pitifully small, a mere drop in the ocean compared to the lengthy progress bar.

"Well... next is you!"

Akira shifted his gaze from the pile of shattered flesh, his eyes dark and piercing as they fell upon the trembling Pierce. Pierce was utterly petrified, shaking like a leaf, not daring to even glance sideways.

He swore this was the most terrifying scene he had ever witnessed since the day he was born, not even the instant deaths of several guards he had seen before could compare to this. As a gang leader, he had seen his share of death, but the bloodiest scene he had ever witnessed was a headshot.

Who had ever seen a living person disintegrated right before their eyes!

Pierce, who didn't understand Nen, firmly believed that Hoss gruesome state was caused by Akira, even leaving him with the impression that Akira was a deranged murderer.

"Thud! Thud!" Akira stomped the floor twice, signaling Pierce to look up.

"Ahhh! Don't kill me..."

Pierce slowly raised his pig-like head, his eyes filled with panic and fear.

In his eyes, Akira was like a soul-sucking black hole, relentlessly pulling him in, about to drag him into an endless abyss of darkness!

"Please...I beg you, spare me, my Lord..." His hoarse voice carried a clear sense of despair!

He didn't believe Akira would spare him... but he didn't want to end up like Hoss, scattered in pieces here and there.

"Where is my identification?" Akira ignored his plea and coldly demanded.

Pierce' pupils contracted sharply, and his body trembled uncontrollably again.

Pierce knew exactly what he had been up to these past few days - nothing but pulling strings to find a Nen user to help him regain his pride.

The identification had long been forgotten. In his mind, with the 'expert' he had hired at great expense, the matter should have been easily resolved.

"I... this... the proof..."

Akira wasn't surprised. If Pierce could produce the identification now, that would have been the real shock.

"I'll give you one hour. If I don't receive it by then, he will be your fate!" Akira crossed his arms and spoke slowly.

Akira didn't specify who 'he' was, but both of them knew exactly who he meant.

The last arrogant person had already become "everywhere".

.......

An hour later, Akira held a brand-new identification card, complete with name, gender, and birthplace.

The name and gender were self-explanatory, while the birthplace was directly set in this town.

A 'kind' smile appeared on Akira handsome face as he addressed Pierce, who was still kneeling before him

"See? It was possible after all. Efficiency really comes from pressure, doesn't it?"

"You're absolutely right, my lord..." Even though he was on the verge of both mental and physical collapse, Pierce had no choice but to kneel and force a smile.

"My lord, could you... spare my life! I'll give you anything I own!"

Pierce' mind was completely blank now. He didn't care about anything else - he just wanted to live!

He deeply regretted his actions over the past few days. What was a little humiliation? Now, instead of just losing money to avoid disaster, he might lose his life.

"Forgive you? Sure." Akira pocketed the identification, stretched lightly, and walked toward the door.

Pierce stared blankly as Akira walked away step by step, as if a huge pie had fallen from the sky, leaving him so overjoyed he couldn't tell which way was up.

But this joy didn't last long...

The moment Akira officially stepped out the door, Pierce heavy body collapsed to the ground...

A smile still hung on his face in death.

If not for the blood, one might have thought he had simply fallen asleep.

"Forgiving you doesn't mean I won't kill you... Next life, try to be more humble. Not everyone is someone you can mess with."

In the dark, silent night, the moon was shrouded by clusters of black clouds. Akira slowly stepped into the ink-like darkness, leaving behind only a sigh.
