Her head felt heavy when Lillian regained her consciousness. There was a sharp pain travelling through her spine, making her wince, as she tried to sit up on the bed.
"Take it easy."
Lillian turned her head to find Sebastian sitting beside her. In his hand was an apple he tried to focus on peeling although he peeled more flesh than skin.
Noticing her surroundings, Lillian realized she was in the hospital. That reminded how she impulsively rushed forward to save Jacob's mother.
"How is she?" Lillian questioned.
With that, Sebastian slammed down the knife on the table, creating a sharp noise. His light brown eyes then darkened, staring at her intensely.
"How can she not be fine with you rushing like that?" Sebastian sneered.
Lillian nodded. "That's good then."
Her nonchant attitude further ticked off Sebastian.
