Chapter 1 - Surviving

In the middle of a vast plain, a 14-year-old chūnin from the Stone Village was running for his life. Multiple kunai were lodged in his body—one, the worst of all, was deeply embedded in his stomach.

"There he is!" shouted a chūnin from the great superpower, Konohagakure.Behind him, two genin sprinted, trying to catch up to the enemy chūnin.

"Shit," he thought. "Damn useless bastards, why'd you die so fast? It was two-on-one, for fuck's sake."

But there was no time to dwell on that. He was bleeding out, and all he had left was chakra. He had to face them—NOW.With his mind made up, he exhaled slowly. Then, gathering all the air he could, he shouted:

"Doton: Doroku Paishi!"

One of the genin—the blue-haired one—stopped his charge, hurriedly preparing to launch a jutsu. The other vanished using the Body Flicker Technique, separating from his teammate.

The Leaf chūnin, still further behind, sensed something was off—but it was already too late.

In a blink, our protagonist appeared in front of the blue-haired genin. Before the boy even had time to register the shock, a kunai sliced his throat. Blood splattered across He's face before the genin collapsed.

Without pausing to celebrate, he flickered again—this time in front of the second genin—kunai at the ready to finish him like the first.

"Bastard!" yelled the Leaf chūnin.

The Iwa chuunin glanced briefly at the chūnin—and a chill ran down his spine.

An Uchiha.

POV: Chūnin (Protagonist)

Nothing—nothing—can describe what I'm feeling right now.An Uchiha. A real fucking Uchiha.

My wounds? Meaningless. Compared to facing an Uchiha with a one-tomoe Sharingan, they're just minor annoyances.

He's looking at me.I tried to look away—I couldn't.Move? Not even a muscle.

I'm dead.

"Seriously... YOU, a piece of trash like you, killed my teammate?!"The Uchiha chūnin roared in fury."He didn't even flinch when facing an Uchiha!"

A brutal kick to the gut slammed me to the ground.I tried to move—nothing.Another kick.Pain exploded through my body. Then the genin I almost killed joined in, tears streaming down his cheeks.

I'm not going to die. I'm not going to die. I'm not going to die. I'm not going to die…

At some point—maybe five minutes in—when I could no longer feel pain, my body was just a mangled mess of red and purple meat, barely recognizable. But then—I felt it.My hand.I could move my hand.

Kai.

The paralysis lifted.I held back a smile. And then, I used the only jutsu I could activate instantly—no hand signs, no shouting—just pure instinct.

Doton: Doroku Gaeshi.

A wall of earth rose, separating the Uchiha from the genin—a breach. An opening.

Without hesitation, I stood up—forcing my muscles beyond any limit I'd ever known.I drew a kunai—bent from the countless kicks across my body. With explosive speed, I lunged at the genin, aiming to slash his throat.

The genin raised his arm, thrusting a kunai into my chest.I didn't stop.

The kunai pierced through my vest and into my flesh—straight into my chest.

But I didn't stop.Through the stabbing pain, I looked him in the eye—and slit his throat, just like his teammate.

I savored his death for a moment. Those kicks hurt. Enjoy hell, bitch. The corners of my mouth tried to curl into a smile—they failed.

Then—a fireball.Ten meters wide.

The glow made one thing clear:I can't win.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The smoke cleared. The Uchiha, Sharingan still active, surveyed the pathetic state of his opponent.

Left arm—burned nearly to ash.Half his face—gone.Left leg—minor damage. The rest of the body—covered in first- and second-degree burns.

He deactivated the Sharingan. It wasn't a clone. He stepped forward to finish it.

In a whisper—nearly out of chakra—he said:

"For my teammates."

He walked forward, careless—He'd already won.

Or had he?

The world flipped upside down.A silver flash—then everything went black.

His opponent, still lying on the ground, laughed—maniacally.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"He caught his breath."With all that power, all that Sharingan strength… you couldn't spot the most basic shinobi trap. Hilarious."

He stood.Picked up the Uchiha's severed head.And walked away—victorious.

After hours and hours of walking—burning chakra just to keep from bleeding out, losing feeling in his fingers, his kunai wounds worsening post-beating—the pain in his scorched arm was beyond words.

At the gates of the camp—finally—he collapsed to his knees.

Just as unconsciousness began to take him,he heard a chūnin at the gate ask:

"Report yourself."

With all the strength he had left, through indescribable agony,he whispered:

"…My name is…Shikiro Edara."
