"Wood Release?"

Shukaku was dumbfounded.

Instantly, it recalled that man—

Hashirama Senju.

Though Shukaku hadn't participated in the Valley of the End battle like Kurama, it had still experienced Wood Release firsthand when Hashirama gathered the tailed beasts to distribute among the Five Great Villages.

Its first instinct was to flee—but the creeping trees ensnared it faster.

"Damn brat!"

Shukaku's maw split wide as it summoned its ultimate weapon:

A Tailed Beast Bomb.

Chakra surged violently, condensing into a sphere of annihilation—

Sasame clapped his hands together.

Sage Art: Wood Release — Wood Dragon Technique!

A seed sprouted, erupting into a colossal wooden dragon that coiled around Shukaku, crushing its body. The half-formed Tailed Beast Bomb fizzled into nothing.

"GAAAH—!"

Shukaku howled as the dragon's grip tightened.

Finally, it could endure no longer—retreating into Gaara's stomach.

With a snap of his fingers, Sasame willed the trees to lift Gaara's unconscious body toward him.

The Wood Dragon, now without a target, didn't dissipate. Instead, its hollow eyes turned—

Magnet Release: Gold Dust Flight!

Rasa's face paled. He yanked his hands upward, pulling streams of gold dust into a floating platform.

"Danzo! Act now, or we're finished!"

As if on cue, a second Wood Dragon erupted from the earth, tangling with the first.

Seizing the opening, Rasa and his allies leapt onto the golden cloud, fleeing the battlefield.

Sasame's brow arched.

Danzo's body radiated monstrous chakra—infused with natural energy.

"Impressive," Sasame mused. "Your sealing arts weren't wasted, Danzo."

He'd already pinpointed the source:

The Dragon Vein.

Combined with forbidden seals, it mimicked a pseudo-jinchūriki's power.

"Sasame!" Danzo snarled, triumph twisting his face. "Today, you die!"

With Wood Release now "equal," he believed his decades of experience would prevail.

Sasame almost laughed.

The simplest solution? Activate his Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan and enslave Danzo on the spot.

But Danzo's arrogance made him reconsider.

Why deny a man his delusions?

Danzo had amplified his Wood Release—by siphoning a fragment of the Dragon Vein.

Yet even that fragment paled next to Shukaku's power.

"Who gave you this confidence?"

Sasame's hands clapped again.

Sage Art: Wood Release — True Several Thousand Hands!

Behind him, a deity manifested—

A thousand-armed Kannon, towering over the desert.

Chakra so dense it choked the sky.

Rasa's group hovered mid-air, jaws slack. Before the statue, they were less than ants.

But the true shock struck Hiashi and the Konoha shinobi.

Lightning might as well have split their skulls.

This wasn't a tale. This was Hashirama's power—reborn in a teenager.

Awe curdled into reverence.

"W-what… is this?" Danzo's smirk shattered.

Without Sage Mode, this technique was forever beyond him.

"Impossible!"

The realization hit:

Hashirama's ultimate jutsu. A myth Danzo had never witnessed—until now.

And it came from Sasame.

A boy rivaling the God of Shinobi.

"LIES! This is an illusion!" Danzo's body trembled with denial.

Sasame smiled.

The finale had arrived.

Hiashi and the others had seen enough. Soon, all of Konoha would kneel.

Wood Release was sacred. And now, it crowned a new Hokage.

With a thought, the Kannon moved.

Fists like meteors rained down.

Deity Gates — Buddha's Wrath!

Under this judgment, all were equal.

Rasa's gold shields shattered like glass.

Maki, Kankurō, Temari—all coughed blood as the impact hurled them into darkness.

(Sasame spared them. Live prisoners meant future Fate Points.)

Vines coiled around the unconscious Sand shinobi.

"Oh? A shadow clone?"

Danzo's real body was elsewhere—

At the Dragon Vein, greedily devouring its energy.

Sasame's pulse spiked.

Bad move.

Danzo's absorption would trigger Minato's Flying Thunder God seal—ripping open time itself.

"Hiashi, escort them to Konoha. Let Tsunade handle the rest."

A flicker—and Sasame vanished, reappearing at the Dragon Vein.

The aftermath was secured. Even if he disappeared briefly, Tsunade wouldn't let Konoha lose face.

And if they did? He'd reclaim everything upon return.

"SASAME!"

Danzo was rabid, veins bulging as chakra flooded him.

His right arm—infested with Hashirama's cells—sprouted buds.

No hesitation. Sasame summoned another Wood Dragon.

Its power? Chakra absorption.

"NO!" Danzo's eye spun—three tomoe Sharingan.

Blood geysered from his pores.

Four Symbols Seal: Annihilation!

Sasame's eyes widened.

A backup Sharingan? Clever.

Black curse marks exploded outward, rupturing the Dragon Vein's seal.

Minato's kunai glowed—

Space twisted.

Sasame's body lurched as chakra hemorrhaged into the vortex.

The Flying Thunder God's cost scaled with mass and distance.

Now? He was adrift in time itself, his Sage Body's reserves draining—

Until darkness took him.

[Fate Points +460: Danzo, Rasa, Gaara, Shukaku, Kankurō, Maki, Temari—destinies altered.]

Consciousness returned slowly.

A strange energy mended his flesh—akin to nature chakra, yet different.

Blinking, Sasame saw her:

A white-haired girl in red-and-white shrine maiden robes. Her sleeves were rolled up, delicate hands pressed to his chest.

That energy flowed from her palms.

"Priestess power?"

"You're awake." She exhaled, wiping sweat. "Who are you?"

Her healing had revealed the truth—Sasame wasn't human. Not entirely.

"Where… is this?"

"Answer me first." She frowned. "But fine—this is the Land of Demons."

"Then you're… Miroku?"

Sasame's mind raced. He'd landed in the right nation—but the timeline was off.

"Miroku? No such priestess exists." She shook her head. "I'm Kikuri. Your name?"

Not Miroku?

The realization struck: He'd gone further back than expected.

Miroku was Naruto's contemporary. If she was unknown, this was decades—maybe centuries—earlier.

"Who is the Hokage now?"

"Hokage? What's that?" Kikuri tilted her head. "Is 'Konoha' your home?"

Sasame's blood ran cold.

What the hell—

No Konoha?

The Warring States era? Worse—pre-Hashirama?

"…Do you know Hashirama Senju?"

Kikuri blinked. "No."

Sasame's composure cracked.

If even Hashirama was unknown…

Had he been flung to the age of Kaguya's reign?
