Dasch: where have you been all this time
Dude: it's not that i was in new unknown places
Dasch: yeah where could you have been that there's been this longest silence
Dude: you know i was going to this convenience store, almost checking in daily
Dasch: have you got a new job or so
Dude: nah but i could say i was there like a loyal one, more exemplary than cashiers there.
Dasch: and you weren't paid for sure.
Dude: in fact, i was getting robbed or my winedrinking has been drying my wallet.
Dasch: i didn't know there was any in it.
Dude: i did. i did. it's just i barely open it so anyone knows if any is in it.
Dasch: well, i guess you were defenseless against wines sold there.
Dude: at first, they were just too cheap and so it began one day.
Dasch: and did that become a routine.
Dude: yeah that convenience store became my wine cellar. i think i'm the only one buying those cheap wines. the stock runs out due to me.
i in a sense feed all the workers in that convenience store.
Dasch: are you perhaps sacrificing yourself for them or is it just one of your rationalizations for alcoholism.
Dude: it's not alcoholism though because i have it under control.
Dasch: that's what they think and in fact they don't.
Dude: i'm pretty sure i drink only when i want to.
Dasch: but can you not drink when you want to drink?
Dude: no i always want to drink, so i am always in control. i do not do anything besides what i want. just doing what you want is what being in control means.
Dasch: okay, sounds like you are still not sober.
Dude: you never know when you are sober. you only know when you drink.
Dasch: umm. come again?
Dude: so when you have a sip and feels alright. it means you are sober.
Dasch: go on. although i don't follow much.
Dude: yeah so as you have more sips you realize you are alright even more and more. you have never been this well. it's a gradual signal of how sober and sane you are.
Dasch: okay i'm gonna stop you right there because i actually think it's time that you check in at the store.
Dude: i was going to. i just didn't know that i will have your support so timely.
Dasch: i just want to make sure you are kept well and sane before you lose it suddenly altogether when your wine is drained from you.
Dude: it is a wise saying. never let your well run dry. i shall go replenish.
Dasch: sure, run. before others, sip away from it.
