At the S market all stakeholders were all seated awaiting the arrival of the highest stakeholder. It's normally a meeting held once in two months and everyone has to be there.
Edward James didn't know but he was both nervous and scared to see the person of his dreams again. When the massive glass door opened all eyes turned to see who came in but was surprised to see it's just an assistant.
Lila bowed respectively to everyone but most importantly to her previous boss.
Edward felt disappointed to think Maria wasn't coming but the gentle click clack sounds on the neatly polished floor drew pricked his heart.
In few seconds everyone was spell bond to the beauty standing before them Edward James felt his heart jump off his chest, the very face he longed to see and hold.
"Good morning everyone, am sorry for being late. My father_" every thing else she said wasn't heard by Edward James as he was now worried about what will happen now that Maria has taken off her mask.
"Mr James, Mr James" a soft voice called out to him and he was taking aback to see all eyes were on him.
"Erm, you were saying?" He asked Maria who seems to have spoken to him but he was so lost in thoughts.
Maria didn't as much help him as she tournamented him more by batting her eyes.
"Your assistant will help you out on that" Maria finally told him as she focused on others.
It's good to have the Almighty dragon Lord in a difficult position, the meeting continued with the agenda for the next couple of months.
Soon then meeting was over and everyone was happy with the new rules most especially the one that say the S market chairman post will be occupied for a period of four years there after an election will be carried out to vote in the next chairman.
Maria has been everything but didn't as much pay attention to the meeting, she could see Edward James through her peripheral view looking dashing as always. She couldn't believe she'd ever fall for him_ those red lips of his isn't helping. Since the night he shot at her she has been having wet dreams about him and it's driving her insane.
"Ma'am you can't go through the_" Lila was saying but it was damn too late as paparazzis have swam into the front exit, cameras and flash light blindfolded Maria. Too many voice and questions were thrown at her and she wished for the ground below her to open.
Suddenly a firm hand pulled Maria out and smuggled her away back into the building they didn't stop until they finally made their way to the back exit were a black SUV was packed.
"Thank you" Maria said when she was safely seated inside the passenger side of the car.
"Mrs Olivia Roy James should know she's a celebrity and not walk around without securities" Edward James said.
"I don't need them" she said but Edward James scoffed.
"Sure you don't" he said and parked by the road side then opened the door waiting for her to go out.
"What are you doing?" Maria asked
"Am not your driver neither am I your assistant you sho_" he was saying but her next word shut him up
"But you're my husband" Maria said but it was too late to take back her words.
