Chapter 14 - Could i take over Asgard?... Chapter 14

I do some intense stretching in the warehouse after sending Max to the punisher. I go back to the apartment, and I don't do anything else because, well, I couldn't; my body was way too sore! That's why I am stretching, and just as I was pulling both of my hands behind my back and holding my hands with each other, Frank looks at me and speaks: "Who taught you all of that?" I speak without looking at him.

"No one taught me that if you actually want to be strong, you have to be stretchy and also flexible. Uh, how do I explain it? Who is stronger? A bodybuilder or a mountain climber? Well, you think bigger, so better, right? No! I once saw an arm wrestling show, and there were all the big guys there, but then there was this lean guy who looked like he had no business at the show, but you know what? Is that the crazy part?" And before I could keep speaking, Frank cut me off...

Frank cuts me off and speaks, "The smaller mountain climber won the whole show, right? Because flexibility is true strength. Muscles are composed of fibers that contract, shorten, and pull on bones to create movement, so if a guy has really big muscles, that guy can't use all of his muscles. Bigger does not mean stronger. Think about it this way: the bigger guy has more muscles, so he is also heavier, making him have less stamina, but the most important thing is 90% of the people you see in gyms are fake. They use all types of stuff.... Kid, you know your stuff when it comes to working out. If only you were this smart all the time..." and Frank shakes his head, and I mutter, "Yeah, and if only you could be less grumpy, Unc."

I bend down and touch my toes with my hands, and then my legs enter a criss-cross position, and then I bend my back down again till my nose hits the floor, and after doing a lot more stretching, I lie back on the ground. My body feels a little better but is still sore. "Well anyway, get out now, kid. You did your 100 pushups, and also you only did 2003 steps today. Small improvement is much better than not improving." I crawl out of the warehouse. Well, I did not crawl, but it felt like I was crawling. After getting out of the warehouse today, I don't go back home...

Ah, finally! Found it—the place where they keep all the knowledge in the 7 seas! The...library. Ok, well, maybe not all the knowledge in 7 Seas, but it should have a lot of info that I need. I have money. Well, the last time I checked, I only had '$753' to my name, but I can keep running this till the end of this week.

I'll see what to do then. Anyway, I need more info about this world. Ever since training with Punisher, I feel like this world may be a little more scary than I thought it was, and that's when I remembered mutants... When I was thinking with the help of Gray Matter 3 days ago, I did not even think about a what-if or that there were possible mutants in this world because, well, I thought this was the MCU, right? and mutants never really come in the MCU, but after finding Frank, I can't keep being arrogant anymore; I need to understand this world...

'If you know yourself and you know your enemy, there is no war you won't win'—Sun Tzu, The Art of War, or something like that. I don't remember stuff like that well because I have heard so many fake Sun Tzu quotes I don't even remember which are real anymore. Well, I am pretty sure there was one like this for the past days I was trying to test and find out who I was, and I even started to improve myself, but now it's time to look at the enemy...

Ok, why did I think like that? Eww!

And after lampooning a little about my thoughts, I went into the library, and well, it was pretty empty. There were a few people, but again, most of that was staff... huh, so it was true, huh? No one likes reading... at least in 2005, then nicknames like "nerd" and other stuff were getting hot...

I walk near the books, and I quickly read through the titles of the books, and after a while, I don't find anything that seems important other than a few books on Captain America and World War 2, which I grab without a thought, and I walk to an empty table and sit down…

And I started to read, and well, I was not shocked at all. There was nothing about the superhuman feats of Captain America in this book, or I can't even call this a book; it's just war propaganda, and the second book about World War 2 is even worse. Every five lines there is a 'Great America' in the lines. The only thing good about this book is the grammar...

Ah, what was I thinking? Let it be the government or the military or even the Shield; none of them would let any info about someone like Captain America be public. Well, good news: I was not looking for anything about him. The Super Soldier serum does interest me, though.

I wonder if I could make something like that with gray matter? Possible. Anyway, I looked around the library more, and I found a few books on Howard Stark and Tony Stark himself, and again there was just useless stuff, nothing important, and then I walked, and I stopped because I saw an old box computer, and I pretty much ran to the box computer, and I looked at it in awe...

And a few seconds later was not far away. This was an old computer in 2005; this is going to be crap! And after, like, 10 minutes, the box screen lights up, and I lean closer and type on the way to the big keyboard, and well, nothing happens. A few seconds later, what I typed pops up on the screen, and I mutter, "Fucking hell, I can't do anything on this."

I lean back on the chair and think, "Well, I am pretty sure I could do something with this if I were gray matter. Hmm, or even better, upgrade... wait, yeah, upgrade!" I bought a cheap computer like this, and with upgrades, I wonder how good it can get? It does not matter how good it is; I only care about the internet anyway. Once I am on the internet, I will have a lot of room to look for info, plus I also wanted to test the upgrade...

After making my mind up, I walk outside the library and start to look for a shop that sells computers... A while later, I walk in a tired way; I looked around so much, and I only found 3 shops, thankfully, but the problem is the cheapest computer I could find was around '$1,200'... and after seeing that price, I ran out of the shop like a boy looking for his mama! And I look at my wallet, and I count the money in it. "I only have $753. Ugh, do I have to work?" And after muttering a little and walking in shame, I stop because I saw a computer in a backyard... for a second I have naughty bad thoughts, and I shake my head fast, and I think, "No, no, I am a good man! I go and ask if they want it or if they want to sell it!" and I walk over to the house.

And after speaking to the best family I have ever spoken to, I find out that they are getting a new computer, so they don't want the old one, and I act like a poor young boy from the streets... "Please, ma'am, I don't have a family other than my little sister. I live on the streets. I only want the computer to teach my little sister. I dream that my little sister learns and studies well! and lives a better life...!" After hearing my heartfelt words, the auntie lets me have the computer; she even gives me a bottle of water and some bread...

'I must admit I act well, huh? hahaha' I shamelessly carry the big PC on my back, and I eat the bread like I was eating a 5-star meal! And I, with a big smile, walk back to my apartment, and the second I enter through the door, Abby looks at my back and speaks: "What? Have you stolen something?" and say back, "No! I only got this because of charity and good people! Unlike you! Bad Abby! always thinking I did something bad!" I walk to my room in a grumpy way, and Abby looks at Leo. Sure, he was better nowadays and trying to change... still, Abby found Leo sometimes really weird...

I carefully put the PC down on the bed, and I lock my room door, and I look at the PC, and I smile. I don't have a screen or a keyboard or a mouse, but that does not matter at all... with an upgrade, I don't need any of that if the upgrade is as broken as he was in the show.... When you think of a strong alien, you think of 4 arms, right? Or maybe even Diamondhead? You know what I truly feel is stronger? Upgrade... Upgrading is pretty much an all-in-one type of deal in the show.

If I remember everything well, Upgrade had... technological manipulation, body modification, energy projection, enhanced strength and durability, flight, hacking and control, adaptive technology, and even stupid crap like self-repair. Upgrade is like an all-rounder who does not have any true limit, which is what makes me think if you give Upgrade the right tech, I am pretty sure Upgrade could become the strongest alien...

Thinking about it, Upgrade sticking on to Iron Man's armor... now that's a scary thought. Huh, Iron Man is pretty much useless against Upgrade... ha, wait a second, Asgard... in the MCU, Asgard was a mix of magic and, well, high-level technology. Wait, if Asgard is tech... a stupid, scary, and thrilling question pops into my mind...

Could I take over Asgard?
