Chapter 17 - I have time... - Chapter 17

"Ava I give you access to go on the internet and learn and install everything about coding and programming, design, art, and sound. The overall goal is to write code for a game. It is your first real test; don't disappoint me, Ava, and also keep your internet footprint at zero." And after a few seconds, Ava speaks: "Yes, sir, I will be ready to start creating in 334 seconds..." And I smile. Things are so much easier now. I'm making a game right now in 2005. Oh, this is going to make me so much! Money from in-game purchases, subscriptions, and stuff like microtransactions is going to make me filthy rich... plus I have Ava to handle most of the company stuff. I do barely any work and just sit back and see the money print.

'With the money out of the way, what's next? Well, after I make a few games, I open up a company, and after that, I start pumping out content—all types of content, stuff like novels, comics, and manga. Even the same movies—everything in this world is underdeveloped. When I was looking for a computer to buy a week ago, I only found a few games, and most of them were about World War 2, nothing else. I changed that after that. Well, the next thing I do is buy real estate. No matter what, land is worth a lot. Even in my past life, real estate was how I got up in life back then, and that was when the prices for land were insane, but now the prices are like dirt cheap. It's going to be fun getting rich again...'

*And five minutes later*

"Sir, I have installed and assimilated all the topics you told me to learn from the internet. I am ready to code, sir," and with a smile, I speak, "Well, go on, make a game. In this game, players control a character running along subway tracks, dodging trains and obstacles while collecting coins and power-ups. The goal should be to score as high as possible without being caught by the inspector and his dog. Players can unlock different characters and hoverboards, and the game features vibrant graphics and regular updates with new locations, and that's it. Make a game on this, and also make sure the music in the background is good too." After a few seconds, Ava speaks: "Getting started, boss!"

And while Ava was making the game in front of my eyes, I could see everything she was doing on the screen, and I smiled because Ava was coding so fast I could barely see. This is why I built an AI so useful. Sure, I could also do this with the help of Upgrade or even gray matter, but well, I mean, I have to work, while right now I don't have to move a second inch. Ha, this is the life. I mutter, "Hey Ava, make the fan a little faster, and also give me quick stats. How long will it take for you to make the game?"

And as soon as I spoke, the fan started to move faster. How? Well, while I was upgrading, I made sure everything that has electricity running through it in my room, at least, was connected to Ava, and a second later, Ava speaks, "Sir, to make the game without testing for bugs and errors, it only takes 3 hours, but if you want me to optimize everything and run tests on everything, it takes at least 6 hours."

I think to myself, '6 hours? Not bad at all. If I remember it well, the actual game in my past world took about 1 year to make, and Ava can do that in 6 hours? "Not bad, not bad at all," I say. "Ok, great, Ava, keep making this game for not mute and send me a message when the game is done," and I stand up, and then I casually start to walk to the door of my room. I have been stuck in here for way too long. Sure, building an AI is cool and all, but I have to keep testing with my gift; after all, I have only tested "Ghostfreak," "Gray Matter," and "Upgrade." I barely used Diamondhead that one time, and I barely have used XLR8, and the other aliens I have not even used them once!

And as soon as I stepped out of the room, there was Abby! Standing with her hands on her hips, looking at me suspiciously, Abby spoke: "Who the hell were you talking to? on your phone? And don't lie to me, Leo. I know you don't have any friends, so who is she?" and I was stunned. I blink a few times, then I speak: "Ugh, it's nothing you need to worry about, ok? "It's just work stuff, nothing else." I walk past her, and Abby grabs my arm, and she tugs at me, and Abby speaks, "Don't lie! I have been hearing you talk to whoever she is for a week now! Don't you think I notice?? Who is she!"

And for the first time I was annoyed? Was this how it feels to have a little sister? And I keep walking to the living room, and I was pretty much dragging Abby with me, and I spoke in a casual tone, "Let go, idiot, and no, it's nothing like that! Ok? I don't have time to date; I have to go to work. Let me go." I pinch Abby's nose, and it just gives me 3 seconds to get out of the apartment and run away. While after Leo rushes out, Abby rubs her nose and mutters, "Work? At an evening like this? Wait, he has been talking to a woman all day on the phone. He goes out somewhere in the morning, and sometimes he goes out at night. Wait, wait, wait, don't tell me he is selling himself...."

And Abby keeps thinking her big brother was up to no good, or maybe some witch had put her brother under a spell? or something like that, and Abby makes a small fist and mutters, "No way any bitch is ruining my bro... no way!"

And unknowingly, Leo, on the other hand, keeps walking in the evening casually, and Leo thinks, "I have to soundproof my room, but now where should I test my aliens? I need a place where no one can be at right now.... Should I turn into XLR8 and run to the desert or something? No one would be there, plus I also know the limits of XLR8, but wait for a second, what if I time out mid-running? I still am not sure how fast XLR8 is. I don't know if I could run to the nearest desert in ten minutes...

As I walked, I saw a hot dog shop, and walking by, I bought a hot dog with the last $5 I had. Yeah, I gave most of my money to Abby and also brought a lot of other stuff for the apartment. We can't be living like trash, can we?

While eating the hot dog and casually walking and thinking, 'Well, if I can't test any of my other aliens, I only have 2 options.' First, to test my aliens out publicly, which is not really that bad of an idea since no one would know I was behind the aliens, or I have to wait till I have money, then I buy a big pot of land and train there. Well, even though option one is possible, I won't be picking it because, well, if I did test my aliens publicly by fighting bad guys or something stupid like that, people like Shield will start to have their eyes on me, and I hate when someone tries to peek into my life...

Plus, why expose my aliens? There are all types of smart people in this world. I am pretty sure Tony Stark could build different armors that could go against every one of my 11 aliens. With time he could do it, but I mean, even with a few years, I don't think he'd have armor for Way Big, but that's another story... After all, by the time I met Tony Stark, I had more than just this watch up my sleeve... This world is weird, but I'm more thankful than anyone about this weird world...

And I sit down in an alley, and I eat up the hot dog fully, and then I clap my hands clean. After doing that, my thoughts go back to testing. 'Ok, so no testing aliens for now, but what about the Omnitrix itself? How can I unlock more aliens? Or how did Ben do it? Well, other than scanning other aliens, I don't remember any other way. All the other stuff was just luck. Ben was lucky he messed up the Omnitrix, or Ben was lucky that the watch just gave him a new alien out of nowhere... Uh, wait, there were the codes, yeah, but well, I have been trying not to mess with the Omnitrix because, like, what if I messed it up? I am not Ben; I don't have plot armor! I might get fucked if this watch on my wrist gets messed up...

And after a few seconds of thinking later, "Wait, why am I trying this with my small brain? Why don't I just use some gray matter? If I can study the Omnitrix, I should be able to hack it or even activate the master control... Oh, what about Upgrade? What if I use Upgrade on the Omnitrix? Well, if you think about it, nothing should happen. I should just get turned back into a human because the Omnitrix is what is changing me into a different alien, so if I try to upgrade it, I should just turn into a human. It will be like I am trying to eat my arm to get more protein to buff up my other arm; it just should not work. But well, in the Ben 10 reboot...

Ugh, I hated that reboot, but anyway, in that show, Ben does end up using the upgrade on the watch, and well, he gets a few new aliens, and his aliens also get strong, which just does not make sense. Also, Ben can't use the upgrade after doing that in that stupid reboot... ugh, no, no, I won't do it. I have time anyway; I just study the Omnitrix with Gray Matter. It's much safer, and also, I have time anyway...

I have time...
