Chapter 1 - Dew drop

Okami walks down the street, shaking his head with a faint smile. This girl has a strange energy for social interactions that can be really annoying. I think I should stop thinking about this for today. Let's go check the house and I'll make a good lunch.

With a sigh, he leaned against the door, fumbling for the key before shoving it lazily "This girl ruined my mood, damn".... Pushing the door open, the warmth of home wrapped around him so much so that he can almost literally smell the comfort

This apartment was really a steal, it's so perfect I suppose … now we can talk about making the greatest meal ever … Omelette eggs "… he ran towards the kitchen like a child and who opened the fridge to discover it "Ummm…. I think three eggs is more than enough".

The sizzle of butter hitting the hot pan filled the air, soft and enticing.

"I think it's ready … it's just need a pinch of salt and now …." His thoughts were interrupted by a knock on the door. "What now! Who's knocking at the door? " He said in a scornful tone.

He frowned, he wasn't expecting anyone, and he opened the door intensely "You?!" He shouted …

"Yes it's me…Kuvira … hello my new neighbour, I live with my mom in the apartment opposite yours." She said with a smile.

"So, we will see each other a lot of time? anyway, I just don't like the hurly-burly of talking too much " Okami said with nervous smile.

She laughed out loud "I knew you were kind in the end but you don't like to talk" she looked at him with a serious look that almost asked a question and said: You didn't explore the city yet, right?

"Nah, not yet " he replied.

"Can I take you on a tour around our little town? Because I can't show you the whole city, of course" she said eagerly.

He cleared his throat "I was preparing food for myself, wait here for two minutes and I'll be there for you "

A look of confusion appeared on her face " I didn't expect you to agree so quickly, honestly, but okay, I'll wait in that garden but don't be late."

"Ok, I won't be late " he said and he entered his apartment again.

He went to the kitchen and brought two loaves of bread.

I think these eggs will be enough for two sandwiches, so I will put them equally in both loaves... Honestly, I don't know what is up with that girl, but what I am sure of is that she doesn't have any siblings, and that is probably why she tries to talk to strangers.

He quickly finished talking to himself, took what he needed, and closed the door behind him.

"I'm not late, am I?" he said with a smile across his face.

"Oh you came back quickly but you took four minutes not just two like you said, you don't seem to respect your appointments, man" she muttered.

"Oh, little girl, nothing ever satisfies you?!" he said in a tone of disapproval. "It doesn't matter. Here's this sandwich. Eat it while we walk. I don't like eating alone." He added.

A grin spread across her face "oh thanks, you really are a kind hearted."

" you are alone, right? I mean you don't have siblings I suppose " he wondered.

"How did you know that? I didn't tell you that much" she said it with a look of confusion on her face.

"I'm older than you and I'm a bit of a mind reader so I have quite a bit of experience with this."

"Yes, I'm my mother's only daughter. My father died three years ago, but the story doesn't always follow the usual path. My mother is a fairly famous fashion designer, so we're in a good financial situation. The downside is that I spend most of my time at home alone, so I like making friends with people." she said, staring into Okami's eyes.

You silly girl, don't talk about your pain so easily to a stranger. He thought.

"Sorry to hear that, you're a good girl just don't overdo it with strangers and you'll be fine" he said to her in a sympathetic tone.

"Don't worry, just let's do our tour around the village like I promised before night falls," she said excitedly.

She took a bite of the sandwich he gave her. "Wow, it's delicious. You should show me the method you use." "What's wrong? It's just eggs fried in butter," he said in surprise. "You're kidding," she replied. "It's not just eggs. It's delicious. It's like my mom makes."

A shy smile spread across his face. "I'm glad you liked it."
