Chapter 94 - CHAPTER 94

c94: Eight Androids

"It's already ten o'clock, and I still don't sense any powerful ki signatures. Are you sure the androids exist in this timeline?" Krillin asked, his voice laced with uncertainty.

Deep down, Krillin hoped the androids wouldn't appear. Unlike the Saiyans, he didn't crave battle he just wanted a peaceful life and, someday, a beautiful girlfriend. That dream had kept him going through the chaos.

"Androids are unlike living beings. They don't emit ki, so we won't sense them approaching," Li Xu replied, shaking his head slightly.

"Then won't that make finding them a huge problem?" Piccolo said, frowning. Without energy signals to lock onto, it would be like finding ghosts in the dark.

"They don't know we're waiting. They'll likely start causing destruction soon. We just wait for a disturbance and head there immediately," Li Xu said confidently.

"But won't people get hurt before we act?" Goku asked with concern, already uneasy with the potential for civilian casualties.

"The androids don't care about bystanders. We'll handle them quickly, and then use the Dragon Balls to restore anyone who's affected," Li Xu said calmly.

To him, whether ten or a hundred died, they could all be revived with a single wish using Shenron.

"Li Xu's right. Once the threat's gone, we can collect the Dragon Balls and fix everything," Krillin agreed, nodding. He didn't like the idea, but it was practical.

"Alright then," Goku said, glancing at the horizon as time ticked away.

As the minutes passed, the silence on the island grew more tense. The androids still hadn't appeared.

"Tch, I say we just blast this whole island to bits. If they're hiding, they won't escape," Vegeta growled, already irritated. His arms were crossed, and his aura flared subtly, itching for battle.

"Vegeta, no! You'll kill innocent people!" Goku protested, stepping forward as if to block him.

Boom!

Suddenly, an enormous explosion rocked the island. A dark mushroom cloud rose from the center of the city.

"Finally!" Vegeta shouted, and without hesitation, he shot off toward the explosion.

"Vegeta, wait!" Goku yelled, chasing after him. Piccolo, Krillin, and Tien Shinhan followed quickly.

"Let's go too!" Li Xu said, launching into the sky with Bulma, Bulla, and Li Yi flying close behind.

As they reached the blast zone, what awaited them was not two androids—but eight.

"Wait a second… weren't there supposed to be just two?!" Krillin stammered, his forehead breaking into cold sweat.

Standing before them were Androids 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, and 20.

"No way… All eight at once?" Li Xu thought to himself grimly.

Originally, Androids 19 and 20 had attacked first, with 17 and 18 appearing later, and 16 released even later by Dr. Gero. As for 13, 14, and 15 they only existed in the Dragon Ball Z: Super Android 13! movie. Yet here they were, summoned into this timeline as well.

"Son Goku! What a surprise to find you here," Android 20 said with a twisted grin.

"You're all Dr. Gero's creations, aren't you?" Goku asked, eyes narrowing.

"How do you know about us?" No. 20 asked sharply, clearly unsettled.

"That's because No. 20 is Dr. Gero himself. He turned himself into an android to carry out his revenge," Li Xu declared, his voice calm but firm.

"What?!"

Gasps erupted around them. Even Goku's eyes widened in shock.

"So, the strongest among you came too… Li Xu, I didn't expect this," Dr. Gero sneered. His glowing eyes flicked toward Li Xu, sizing him up.

Gero had anticipated Goku and Vegeta but not this variable. Li Xu's power was different. Divine. Dangerous.

The air around them grew tense as the battlefield filled with eight deadly enemies each with their own strength, each with Gero's burning hatred.

"Damn it, just a pile of scrap metal! I'm the strongest!" Vegeta snarled, charging furiously at Dr. Gero. But before his attack could land, Android 19 stepped in, blocking his path with mechanical precision.

"Vegeta, I didn't anticipate all of them would show up. Let's just deal with them together," Dr. Gero said, clearly surprised but not deterred.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Vegeta engaged Android 19, trading fierce blows. However, without his Super Saiyan transformation, Vegeta was gradually pushed into a disadvantage. Android 19's energy-absorbing capabilities and immense durability made him more than a match.

"Vegeta, you're so sneaky!" Goku said, half-laughing. Though furious at Gero's words, Vegeta had deliberately initiated the fight first ensuring no one else stole the glory of defeating him.

"Dr. Gero, we seem evenly matched in numbers," Li Xu said unexpectedly. "Why not treat this like a match? One-on-one duels. When someone falls, the next steps in."

"As you wish," Dr. Gero agreed, smirking. He had confidence in his androids, who had been upgraded beyond their original designs.

"If I had known, I would've brought a folding stool would've made watching this more comfortable," Li Xu joked casually, floating with his arms behind his head.

The others around him nearly tripped over themselves at his nonchalance. They were preparing for life-and-death battles, yet Li Xu looked ready to enjoy a picnic. But that same calm reassured them. Li Xu's relaxed demeanor only meant one thing: he was absolutely confident.

"Haaa!!"

With a sharp cry, Vegeta's hair turned golden and his aura exploded into a blazing gold flame he had transformed into a Super Saiyan.

"What's that form?" Dr. Gero muttered, confused. His data collection had stopped years ago. He had no information on Super Saiyans and was now witnessing the transformation for the first time.

"Scrap metal... time to die!" Vegeta roared, launching a flurry of blazing punches at Android 19. The tide of battle shifted immediately.

"These androids are far stronger than in the original timeline," Li Xu thought privately. "The original Android 19 barely topped 100 million in power. This version is pushing 500 million."

"Still not enough to handle Vegeta," Li Xu concluded, watching the fight closely.

Vegeta, having trained a year in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber ahead of schedule, now possessed a base power of 20 million. As a Super Saiyan, his power skyrocketed to over one billion.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Vegeta's punches rained down like meteors, smashing into Android 19's face and chest. The android staggered back, unable to keep up.

Then, with a sudden movement, 19 clamped down on Vegeta's wrists, grinning with malicious glee.

"Got you at last!" the android sneered, and the energy in Vegeta's body began rapidly draining into 19's hands.

"Let go!" Vegeta shouted, straining, as his ki was siphoned.

"Never! You're mine now!" Android 19 smirked. As long as he drained enough energy, he would surpass even Super Saiyan-level strength.

"Impressive, Number 19. You've already subdued one of them," Dr. Gero said proudly, already envisioning his victory.

"Then die!" Vegeta roared. Lifting both legs, he kicked 19 square in the face, erupting in a massive golden flare. With one powerful surge, he tore his arms free, snapping the mechanical limbs at the joints wires dangled from the exposed ports.

"Let's find out what leaks from you blood or oil?" Vegeta snarled, and launched another brutal assault.

He grabbed Android 19's head, twisted it violently, and tore it off like a lid from a jar.

Bang!

The lifeless android body collapsed and exploded in a fiery blast, reduced to smoldering rubble.

"Tch, scrap metal is still just scrap metal," Vegeta spat, dusting his hands as if wiping away filth.

"No… how could Number 19 be defeated?!" Dr. Gero staggered back, his confidence shattered by the turn of events.
