"Number Fifteen, eliminate Vegeta for me!" Dr. Gero ordered coldly.
Among the eight androids present, the weakest were Dr. Gero himself now known as Android 20 and Android 19. Although Android 19 had just been destroyed by Vegeta, Gero wasn't disheartened; he remained confident in the other models he had created.
Android 15, a short android with dark skin, a thick build, and a wide-brimmed hat, stepped forward. His sunglasses gleamed as he looked at Vegeta, smiling with a predator's intent.
"Vegeta, you already had your turn. Let me take over now," Son Goku said, flying to his side.
He could sense Vegeta's depleted ki. After having a considerable amount of energy absorbed by Android 19, Vegeta's combat power was no longer at its peak far from it, in fact.
But Vegeta scoffed at the concern and replied dismissively, "I can take care of this junk heap on my own. Just stay back and enjoy the show."
Without another word, Vegeta launched himself at Android 15.
Seeing that Vegeta had already engaged, Goku hesitated for a second, then sighed and flew back to rejoin the group.
Boom!
Vegeta's punch was caught mid-air by Android 15, who held his fist firmly, still smiling mockingly. Despite his small stature, 15 was remarkably powerful enough to push Vegeta to rage.
"Damn you!"
Vegeta followed with a powerful roundhouse kick, but 15 effortlessly blocked it, maintaining his unshaken grin.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Vegeta unleashed a fierce flurry of blows—punches, elbows, knees, and kicks but none landed cleanly. Each strike was either evaded with robotic speed or absorbed by 15's durable frame.
"This one's combat power must be around 600 million," Li Xu observed quietly, arms crossed as he watched from above. "That's more than what 19 had. I wonder how strong Number 16 really is."
He turned his gaze briefly toward Android 16, the towering, silent giant in green.
Android 16 seemed to notice and slowly turned his head to meet Li Xu's eyes.
"What is it, Number 16?" asked Android 17, standing beside him.
"That man… Li Xu… he's strong," Number 16 replied in his usual deep and emotionless tone.
"I'm the most advanced android," 17 said smugly. "It doesn't matter how strong he is he won't beat me."
"Don't be arrogant, Number 17. I agree with 16… that man's no pushover," Number 18 said, brushing a strand of hair from her face.
"Sister, you're really going to take his side?" 17 frowned, annoyed by her remark.
Meanwhile, Goku was carefully analyzing the fight. "Number 15's not trying to win quickly he's dragging it out, draining Vegeta's energy."
"Yeah, Vegeta's ki is dropping fast," Piccolo added, narrowing his eyes.
"Dear, can you save Vegeta later… if it comes to that?" Bulma whispered nervously to Li Xu, having overheard Goku and Piccolo's concerns.
Li Xu raised an eyebrow. "Bulma, is it really okay for a wife to ask her husband to save another man?"
"It's not like that!" Bulma said quickly. "Paranti asked me for help before we came. Little Trunks was just born… you wouldn't want him to grow up without a father, would you?"
Li Xu chuckled softly, then nodded. "Alright."
Boom!
Back on the battlefield, Vegeta was clearly slowing down. His stamina depleted, he failed to dodge Number 15's next attack. A crushing kick landed squarely in his gut, launching him backward. His body skidded across the dirt, smashing through trees and rocks before crashing into a nearby house. The building collapsed, burying him in debris.
"Ahh!"
A muffled cry echoed from beneath the rubble.
Vegeta let out a defiant roar from within the collapsed ruins, his golden aura flaring wildly. The force of his ki erupted outward, reducing everything nearby to dust and rubble.
Without hesitation, Vegeta burst from the debris and charged directly at Android 15 again, appearing in front of him in a flash with Super Saiyan speed.
Boom!
Just as his punch was about to connect, Android 15 slammed his knee into Vegeta's abdomen. The blow was precise and brutal, knocking the wind out of him. The sudden impact caused Vegeta to cry out and drop out of his Super Saiyan state entirely, his golden hair returning to black.
"Xiao Yi, it's your turn now," Li Xu said calmly. Though he had the power to intervene, he chose to give his son an opportunity to gain battle experience.
"Okay, Dad!" Li Yi responded enthusiastically and soared into the air, his golden aura blazing as he flew at full speed.
Boom!
Just as Android 15 was about to land a devastating punch to Vegeta's head, Li Yi arrived and launched a high-speed kick that sent Android 15 flying backward.
"That speed! He's already a Super Saiyan at such a young age?" Krillin exclaimed in disbelief. Had he known that Li Yi had achieved the transformation at just over two years old, his shock would've been even greater.
"Vegeta!"
Goku rushed over and quickly gave Vegeta a Senzu Bean, watching as the Saiyan prince regained consciousness and strength almost instantly.
Though fully healed, Vegeta was visibly frustrated by the outcome. But knowing he had already lost, he reluctantly returned to the others with Goku, clenching his fists in fury.
"Damn it, he recovered instantly... Who is this kid?! Why is he so strong?" Dr. Gero muttered through gritted teeth.
He had gone to great lengths to corner Vegeta, only for his plans to be ruined by Li Yi a fighter not present in any of the historical battle data he had collected.
Li Yi and Bulla had been residing in the World of the Gods of Destruction, only recently arriving on Earth. Naturally, Dr. Gero had no information about either of them in his records.
"Number Fifteen, kill that brat now! We can't allow him to recover again," Dr. Gero ordered sharply.
"Don't worry, I'll snap this kid's bones one by one," Android 15 said with a wicked grin, striding toward Li Yi.
"Husband, will Xiao Yi be alright?" Bulma asked anxiously.
"Relax. Xiao Yi hasn't spent years training for nothing," Li Xu reassured her with a smile. His son's base combat power was now 15 million, and after transforming into a Super Saiyan, it soared to an impressive 750 million. Dealing with Android 15 wouldn't be a problem.
"Go, big brother!" Bulla cheered enthusiastically from the sidelines.
"Little runt, you're dead meat!" Android 15 shouted, launching a direct assault at Li Yi.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Their fists clashed in rapid succession. Elbows, knees, and kicks flew through the air. The two fighters battled fiercely across the ground, through the sky, and over rooftops, their silhouettes vanishing and reappearing in flashes of light.
"They're so fast!" Tien Shinhan shielded his eyes, trying to follow the battle. "I can barely see them!"
"Incredible..." Gohan said, awestruck. Li Yi was younger than him, yet his power was clearly greater even exceeding Gohan's own strength during the battle with Cell.
"I didn't expect Li Yi to be this powerful... I wonder just how strong Li Xu really is," Goku said thoughtfully as he observed the ongoing clash.
"Damn it!" Vegeta muttered, teeth clenched. Although Li Yi's power was still slightly below his own, the fact that the boy was already approaching his level at such a young age filled him with frustration. At this pace, it was only a matter of time before he surpassed him.
"Big brother, finish that nasty guy off!" Bulla shouted excitedly.
As the fight progressed, Li Yi's technique and timing improved. At first, he could barely keep pace with Android 15, but now he was gradually taking the upper hand, gaining confidence with every exchange. Victory was becoming inevitable.
"Not bad," Li Xu said, nodding with satisfaction.
For him, the outcome wasn't nearly as important as Li Yi's development. If he had truly wanted to, Li Xu could have destroyed Android 15 with a single attack—but this was a vital opportunity for his son to grow.
