Lucius POV:
I had spent nearly a century in the darkness, locked away by the very same species whose ancestors once feared me. And yet, it was a witch—a their kind—who thought herself clever enough to awaken me. She didn't even deserve to live long enough to witness her mistake. The irony was not lost on me. Who would have thought that the very species responsible for imprisoning me would be the one to release me again? It was laughable, really. Foolish creatures, I thought bitterly.
But even more infuriating was the fact that she managed to slip past me. The stupid witch caged me, tricked me, and took my blood. A sight I would never forget, no matter how long I lived. And now she hides in the remnants of the once-royal castle, reduced to a school for the supernatural.
Pathetic.
