Tet called everyone back into the living room and said, "Alright Yang, Ruby—I'm sending you both into the same game as Dean. Have fun, don't get into too much trouble."
"'Kay," Ruby said quickly, with Yang nodding in agreement.
Tet snapped his fingers, and in a flash of golden light, the sisters vanished.
Sam suddenly started laughing, earning a confused look from Blake. "What's so funny?" she asked.
Sam smirked. "I haven't known those two for long, but I already know they're gonna drive my brother insane. And that's hilarious."
Tet chuckled. "Well, you guys have fun. Me and Hestia have a few things to do—we'll be back later."
In a kaleidoscope of swirling colors, Tet and Hestia vanished, only to reappear moments later in Minas Ithil. The city was still under siege, but the orcs were on the defensive this time.
Tet sighed, running a hand through his hair. "Good grief… I'm glad to see he's doing better, but isn't he overdoing it a little?"
Hestia laughed nervously, her voice carrying a hint of fondness and said. "Well… Ares is very enthusiastic when it comes to fighting."
Their eyes turned toward the lower city. Most of the Gondorian soldiers were falling back, retreating to safer ground—but Ares? He remained in the thick of it, carving through orcs one after another. His movements were a whirlwind of steel and fury, his presence alone terrifying enough that some orcs refused to even approach.
Finally, after cutting down another cluster of them, he stood tall, chest heaving, and roared, "Is that all? Bring me more!"
But instead of charging, the remaining orcs scattered, fleeing in sheer terror.
Tet blinked in astonishment. "Holy crap. Even without his divinity, he's still able to scare his enemies into submission."
Hestia smiled softly. "Shall we go greet him?"
The two descended to the lower city, finding Ares sitting on a piece of rubble, casually eating an apple as if the battlefield wasn't still smoldering around him. He looked up and grinned.
"Oh—hello, Lord Tet. Hey, Aunt Hestia. What brings you here?"
Tet smiled faintly. "Came to check in and see how you're doing."
Ares smirked, his eyes lit up with excitement. "You kidding me? I'm having the time of my life. I'm loving every second of this—thank you."
"I'm glad to hear it," Tet replied, his tone thoughtful. "I originally came to check on you, but after seeing this… I think we can move a few things ahead of schedule."
Ares raised an eyebrow, leaning forward. "What do you mean?"
Tet tilted his head. "What's your opinion on King Gilgamesh?"
Ares scoffed. "An arrogant asshole with no respect for the gods—or any authority but his own. However… he is an effective leader and ruler. I respect him, but I don't like him. Why?"
Tet revealed the projection of the Absolute Demonic Front, its landscape sprawling across the image before them.
Ares' expression hardened. "Those people are in a desperate situation. From what I can tell, unless something changes, they've got six months at best before they're overwhelmed."
"Exactly," Tet said. "I'm going to give you your divinity back and send you there to help hold the line. Reinforcements will arrive in a few months."
Ares narrowed his eyes. "If sending a god of war isn't sufficient reinforcement… then demonic beasts aren't the only thing they're dealing with. Care to fill me in?"
Tet's voice grew grim. "They're also dealing with Ereshkigal, Gorgon, and Quetzalcoatl. And later, they'll be facing Tiamat."
Ares' jaw dropped slightly. "Gorgon? No problem. Ereshkigal? Maybe.Quetzalcoatl ? That's a complete uphill battle. But Tiamat? Impossible. You'd better be sending some very powerful reinforcements."
"I've already placed a super angel and several extremely powerful knights there," Tet explained. "But I'll be gathering more. I don't just want the champions of that world to survive—I want them to completely obliterate their enemies. So yes, I'll be getting a couple more gods and probably a few archangels."
Hestia frowned faintly. "Tet… I don't like the archangels from Terra Superno that much."
"Me neither," Tet admitted, shaking his head. "I'm talking about different archangels, though. The world I'll be taking them from is extremely weird. And one of its champions is a perverted maniac I'd sooner obliterate than let within spitting distance of you."
Ares crossed his arms, thinking aloud. "Might need a little more than a few angels."
"I'll also send my Horsemen," Tet replied evenly. "Though… I haven't found War yet."
Ares' eyes sharpened with interest. "When you do, I want to meet them. If they're going to embody my domain, I need to make sure they're up to snuff."
"That's reasonable," Tet said with a nod. "But just to be clear—the Horsemen are my servants. They take orders from me, no one else."
"Fine by me." Ares stood up, rolling his shoulders, excitement building in his voice. "Now… you ready to send me? I'm not thrilled about working with Gilgamesh, but the prospect of fighting an unwinnable battle has got my blood pumping."
Tet raised his hand and restored Ares' divinity. Ares let out a satisfied groan, cracking his neck, his aura flaring back to its full divine glory. "Oh yeah… that's better. Alright—let's do this."
Tet snapped his fingers. Ares vanished in a kaleidoscope of colors, reappearing in King Gilgamesh's ziggurat.
Gilgamesh looked up from the tablet he had been writing on, his crimson eyes narrowing with intrigue. "Well… what brings the Greek God of War to my kingdom?"
Ares smirked. "Heard you had one hell of a fight going on. And I wouldn't be much of a war god if I sat and watched—especially when one of my favored is already fighting on your side."
Gilgamesh leaned back, measuring him carefully. "Can I trust my soldiers to you, God of War?"
Ares' tone was steady, firm. "Don't worry. If they're willing to put their lives on the line, I'll do everything I can to make sure they're ready."
Gilgamesh nodded once, satisfied. "Very well. See it done. But I am curious… will Zeus not be angered by you interfering in another pantheon's territory?"
Ares chuckled lightly. "Oh, I don't take orders from Zeus anymore. My new boss is much stronger." He tilted his head, smirking. "But I'm curious—why so quick to trust me?"
Gilgamesh's gaze was unwavering, his voice calm but resolute. "Because I can view the future. And the moment you arrived before me, I saw our chances of survival increase significantly."
Then Ares said, "Oh gods, you're one of those. Oh well, if you need me, I'll be on the battlefield." Then he departed, and as he did, Gilgamesh kept seeing the future change each time—seeing their future struggles decreasing in difficulty as more and more powerful people arrived. One of which wasn't strong at all but was, however, an overenthusiastic assistant that he wished was here right now so he could finally get some sleep, but it would have to wait, unfortunately.
Tet and Hestia returned to his realm, the kaleidoscope of colors fading into the familiar warmth of his domain. Tet stretched his arms, a thoughtful look crossing his face, and said, "Okay… checked on Ares, sent Yang and Ruby to Baldur's Gate with Dean… what next? I know I've got some more loose ends to tie up, but for the life of me, I can't recall. Do you remember, dear?"
Hestia placed a slender finger against her chin, her eyes narrowing slightly in thought. After a moment, she said, "You haven't done anything with Remnant since you obtained it. And you just promised Ares reinforcements powerful enough to combat a creation deity that's just as strong—or stronger—than Gaia. But we currently don't have anyone like that… unless you want us to get involved personally. But that's not your style."
Tet gave a soft sigh, rubbing the back of his neck with a wry smile. "Well, truth is… I don't like fighting. Especially since I'm pretty sure if I did fight, I might accidentally blow up the planet." His tone grew more serious as his eyes flickered with quiet resolve. "But I see your point. I've got work to do."
He stepped closer, gently cupping Hestia's cheek, and gave her a tender kiss. His voice softened as he pulled back slightly and whispered, "Thanks, dear. I love you."
Hestia's face turned bright red, her heart fluttering at his words. She smiled shyly, her voice trembling with warmth as she said, "Anytime, darling."
As Tet left to look for a new universe, he said, "I can't avoid it. I have to hit some of the harem worlds. As perverted as some of them can get, they have some of the strongest people possible. Popping over to DC might not be a bad idea either—I owe the Presence a favor, and maybe I can borrow a few people while I'm there. But before any of that, it's time to add a new goddess to the pantheon."
With a mischievous grin tugging at his lips, Tet descended into a new world, ready to stir the pot and cause trouble.
