Chapter 27 - Chapter 19 Fierce Fight

"Ah! My leg... Big Brother, save me..."

A three-foot-long green light flashed in the air, and a scream suddenly echoed from the lanky man's position.

  "Got it!"

Lu Tiandu was delighted when he heard the lanky man's scream.

By then, the impact of the Ice Spear Talisman, the Explosive Flame Talisman, and the protective shield had dissipated.

A flash of green light hovered in the air; it was his Wind-Swallowing Sword.

  "Second Brother!"

Seeing the lanky man's bloody thigh thrown not far away, the burly man's eyes suddenly turned red.

He had the strongest magical power and was extremely experienced in combat. When he saw the power of the four talismans fired at him, he thought to himself, "Oh no!" He had been careless. He had never thought this man possessed advanced talismans.

The moment he opened the Golden Armor Talisman to block, he slapped his storage bag and summoned a small white jade shield. In the end, he was naturally safe and sound.

The second-in-command, the tall, thin man, though nimble, was also quick, but after the Golden Armor Talisman shattered under the Ice Spear Technique, he was immediately thrown into disarray by the Explosive Flame Talisman. In his panic, a flaming orb blew a bloody hole through his left hand.

At that moment, Lu Tiandu, having sneakily attacked and killed the shorter third-in-command, unleashed his Wind Sword with all his might for a second strike.

The thin man hurriedly cast a defensive talisman, but it was too late. The flying sword pierced the defensive shield, and he dodged, only severing one of his legs.

"What a shame I couldn't kill him with one strike!"

Lu Tiandu lamented that he hadn't killed the thin man. He had unleashed his full magical power and unleashed his full swordsmanship on these two occasions.

Just as he continued to direct his flying sword, preparing to deliver the finishing blow, a silver streak of light shot out, instantly blocking his cyan sword shadow. A continuous "crackling" sounded as two beams of light, one blue and one silver, collided in the air.

Their combined speed was astonishingly fast, and a flash of light flew, pausing as the flying sword and the silver shuttle reached a stalemate.

At that moment, the burly man gazed at his third brother, whose head had been severed, and his second brother, whose leg was broken and whose arm was blasted with blood. His tiger eyes were filled with murderous intent, a desire to tear Lu Tiandu apart.

While directing the flying shuttle and Lu Tiandu's flying sword in a mid-air clash, the burly man quickly enlarged the small white jade shield surrounding him, shielding himself and his second brother.

He casually fumbled for a pill and fed it to his wailing second brother before glaring back at Lu Tiandu.

Lu Tiandu was in a good mood. Although he hadn't been able to kill the lanky man with a single blow, he was now nearly depleted of his fighting ability and no longer a threat.

Lu Tiandu had felt a slight regret for not being able to kill the two men. It wasn't that he didn't want to release more talismans, but because, even with all his might controlling the flying sword, he only had enough mana to detonate eight talismans.

If possible, he would have loved to release a dozen higher-level talismans at once.

Ultimately, he was limited by his current cultivation level.

These eight talismans were worth over two hundred spirit stones, a price not often afforded to a Qi Refining cultivator.

This lavish attack, capable of knocking out a single enemy warrior, was well worth the price.

Using his flying sword twice with all his might and detonating eight talismans, four of which were high-level, drained Lu Tiandu's mana. Furthermore, his remaining spiritual energy had been depleted from the previous sword flight.

While directing his flying sword to engage the enemy's silver shuttle, Lu Tiandu swiftly produced a mid-level wind spirit stone to replenish his energy.

"So you have a wind-attributed spiritual root?"

the burly man said grimly, observing the spirit stone in Lu Tiandu's hand.

He had assumed he possessed only a wind-attributed flying sword, but he was unexpectedly a wind-attributed cultivator. This was a serious omen.

The combat power of a cultivator with a spiritual root, combined with top-tier magical instruments of their own, was undeniable. A single cultivator could easily defeat three or four cultivators of the same level.

This time, he'd hit a wall.

The burly man's face darkened. Luckily, his several magical weapons were of the highest quality, allowing him to continue the fight.

"Second brother, grit your teeth! Unleash your protective magical weapons to protect yourself first. I'm going to destroy this bastard with all my might..."

"Yes, big brother, don't worry about me. Kill this bastard and avenge us!"

The lanky man also noticed something was amiss and nodded with gritted teeth. Having taken the pills, his injuries had stopped worsening.

With a flick of his right hand, he reached into the storage pouch at his waist, and a fist-sized green bead appeared in his hand. He slowly channeled his magical power into it, and with a flash of rosy light, a faint green shield enveloped the man's entire body.

It seemed his injuries were making it difficult for his magical power to flow smoothly.

  "Hmph!"

Lu Tiandu sneered, and with a flick of his hand, a half-foot-long pale green wind blade shot towards the lanky man. The wind blade was incredibly fast, arriving in the blink of an eye, even causing the green shield to shake.

"What? Instantly casting a mid-level spell!"

This startled the two men again, their faces shifting from gloomy to bright, as they felt this man was becoming even more formidable.

The burly man's eyes shone coldly as he pressed his fingers together and let out a low roar. The silver shuttle suddenly accelerated significantly, emitting streams of silver light that completely obscured the azure light emanating from the Wind-

Following Sword. "Oh no! This shuttle is proving so formidable! If this continues, the Wind-Following Sword will be destroyed sooner or later."

Lu Tiandu felt the sword's sluggishness grow, and he dared not distract himself from the lanky man.

Just as Lu Tiandu was energizing his flying sword to clash with the silver shuttle, it suddenly vanished.

  "Hmph, just as I expected!"

Lu Tiandu slapped his chest with his left hand. The golden light that had been fading since the Wind-Following Sword's second strike failed to slash the enemy suddenly shone brightly, and a protective shield resembling a golden eggshell instantly enveloped him.

At the same time, a silver flash of light from the void struck the golden eggshell like lightning.

With a muffled "bang," it sounded like giant objects colliding.

Lu Tiandu's face paled. The shuttle's impact had caused the golden eggshell to tremble violently, causing his mana to stagnate for a moment. However, the surge of mana quickly returned, and the golden armor's eggshell stabilized.

Ever since discovering the shuttle's extraordinary speed, Lu Tiandu had reserved a third of his mana for the golden armor, fearing that his sword-wielding skills would focus on attack while neglecting his own defense.

After all, he knew full well that wind magic surpassed the other five elements in attack speed, and he knew even more clearly that if the opponent's speed was even greater, he would be easily countered.

If he hadn't fully activated the golden armor, a hole would have been opened in his body by now.

After blocking the shuttle's charged attack, the man's subsequent attacks were indeed much weaker, and the golden armor was fully capable of withstanding.

Lu Tiandu, not one to passively take a beating, simultaneously channeled his mana into the golden armor and, with a fierce thrust of his finger, he wielded the Wind Sword with all his might and instantly appeared before the tall, lanky man.

With a swish, a three-foot-long azure light and a green light shield collided violently. Slashed by the flying sword, the green shield shook violently, threatening to shatter.

  "Big Brother!"

the tall, lanky figure shouted, instantly dissuading the shuttle from attacking Lu Tiandu's tortoise shell and rushing back to provide assistance. Lu Tiandu then retracted his Wind-Following Sword.

"What kind of treasure is this shuttle?"

Seeing the flying sword, its aura dimming slightly after only a brief clash with the shuttle, Lu Tiandu exclaimed in relief. A

moment longer, this exquisite, top-tier flying sword would have been destroyed.

Sheathing the flying sword, Lu Tiandu extended his hand, revealing a small, foot-long azure flag.

It was the Green Dragon Flag!

Lu Tiandu rubbed the flagpole with both hands, and the Green Dragon Flag instantly transformed into a large, ten-foot-long azure banner. A hazy azure light shone across the flag, embroidered with a ferocious azure dragon, its fangs baring and claws roaring.

Lu Tiandu flung the flag, sending it fluttering into the air. Without hesitation, he flipped his hands, quickly forming hand seals and striking the Green Dragon Flag with several magical seals. He shouted,

  "Transform into a Dragon!"

Within several feet, a sudden, violent wind blew. The Green Dragon Flag shone with a vibrant azure light, and in an instant, the ten-foot-long flag transformed into a massive, ten-foot-long green dragon, vivid and lifelike, its claws and fangs bared, an exact replica of the one embroidered on the flag.

  "Go!"

Lu Tiandu pointed, and the dragon swung its tail, growled, and charged at the burly man opposite.

The man, unable to break Lu Tiandu's tortoise shell, was surprised and dismayed to see him unleash his new magical weapon, which possessed the ability to transform. He was infuriated that his Spirit Light Shuttle, a top-grade magical weapon that had always been a surefire way to victory, had been repeatedly thwarted.

The seal in his hand changed again, and the silver shuttle suddenly turned into a giant shuttle about ten feet long. With a flash of silver light, it collided with the green dragon.

  "Boom... Boom..."

The green and silver colors in the air kept flashing, and the roaring sound continued. For a while, it was hard to tell which one of the two magic weapons was stronger.

"This time I've hit a wall!"

While commanding the spiritual light shuttle to fight the giant dragon, the burly man regretted this hunting action more and more.

He had planned to take a break in the near future. After all, he was about to reach the thirteenth level of Qi Refining, and he still had an important thing to do after that. In the end, he couldn't resist his greed and ran into a tough guy. As a result, one of his two sworn brothers died and the other was injured, which made him regret it endlessly.
