Chapter 26 - Chapter 18 Instant Kill

Lu Tiandu leisurely left the Stardust Pavilion and wandered through several nearby shops.

Knowing he was being followed, he felt more at ease.

He had earlier collected several medicinal herbs not found in his own Hundred Medicinal Garden at the Starry Pavilion, and had also visited several other shops, collecting one or two more, making his trip worthwhile.

Lu Tiandu had already confirmed the two individuals currently following him, but whether there were others remained unknown.

He booked a room at the Fangshi Inn and entered with aplomb, preparing to rest. After activating the room's built-in restrictions, Lu Tiandu took out his own formation flags and set up a defensive formation before escaping into the Stone Bead World.

He prepared to don the gold-threaded inner armor and test its protective limits.

Just as Lu Tiandu entered the room, two figures whispered to each other from a corner of the street.

"Second brother, why don't you persuade eldest brother to wait until we sell that item at the Secret Shop auction in the next couple of days, then buy a few good magical instruments. Wouldn't it be easier to catch some fat sheep?"

The short, black-robed monk said, his eyes twinkling as he rubbed his hands together.

He was desperate to sell that item quickly, get his share, and purchase the magical instrument he had his eye on. After all, he had long hoped to own a top-tier magical instrument.

"Third brother, you can't eat hot tofu in a hurry. It's just a matter of a few days. Don't worry. We can't let this fat sheep go.

Wait until eldest brother takes action. Isn't it..." The tall and thin black-robed monk's eyes flashed with ruthlessness, and he made a gesture of cutting the neck. "This kid actually used more than a hundred talismans. This is a big fat sheep. It would be unjust to miss it!!"

"Second brother, how come this guy has so many talismans? And he went to the Stardust Pavilion. Did he buy some powerful magic tools?"

Although the short man was jealous of the fat sheep who was only at the eleventh level of Qi Refining like him but had much more wealth than him, he was still afraid that the guy would throw a lot of talismans at him, which would be a disaster.

"Hmph, even if there are, there are probably only a few. I don't care about intermediate-level talismans, but how many can he activate simultaneously with his eleventh-level cultivation? It's nothing new to acquire treasures; he's the treasure boy who brings treasures to our three brothers..."

The tall, thin man chuckled. The two men exchanged glances, their greed intensifying.

In the Stone Pearl World, at the foot of Tongtian Peak,

Lu Tiandu looked at the Suifeng Sword in his hand with a look of delight.

"This golden silk armor is absolutely worth it! It greatly improves my defense!"

After donning the golden silk inner armor, he poured all his mana into it, and instantly a giant golden egg enveloped him.

He then used all his strength to slash at the shield with the Suifeng Sword. After several strikes, the golden egg, transformed by the armor, remained motionless, surprising and delighting him.

The only drawback is that it consumes a bit of spiritual energy , making it impractical for him to maintain the shield for long periods of time.

However, even if he doesn't use it at full power, a slight infusion of spiritual energy to form a golden light film around his body can still block attacks from higher-level magic weapons, which is also very useful.

After tidying his clothes and checking his equipment, Lu Tiandu left the Stone Pearl World, departed the inn, and headed for the north gate of the market town.

He had no intention of staying overnight in the market town. He had sold over 150 talismans during the day, and another 140 beginner, mid-, and upper-level talismans at the Stardust Pavilion. He had a few flaws, so he decided not to linger any longer and leave others vulnerable. After all,

even a Foundation Establishment cultivator would be tempted by the prospect of over 2,000 spirit stones.

Of course, after this incident, he wouldn't be selling talismans at any other shop besides his family's Gold and Jade Pavilion any time soon.

Once outside the market town's restricted airspace, Lu Tiandu immediately unleashed his Wind-Following Sword and flew north at full speed. After flying over a hundred miles, he turned west, much to the annoyance of the three followers.

"Oh no! This guy's spotted us!"

A burly man, with tiger-like eyes, suddenly exclaimed from within a giant silver shuttle, over ten feet long.

The two men huddled behind him were the tall, thin, and short duo who had been whispering about Lu Tiandu outside the inn in the market.

"How could this guy fly so fast on his sword? It's barely slower than our Spirit Shuttle!"

Upon hearing their boss's words, the tall, thin second-in-command was also surprised.

They had thought that with this rare, top-grade flying shuttle, they could quickly capture the black-cloaked man after leaving the market, but he nearly escaped. This was a rare occurrence among the Qi-refining disciples they had ambushed before!

"There's something wrong with that flying sword. With such speed, it might be a rare wind-thunder flying sword—a truly rare treasure!"

the burly man with tiger eyes hummed, then sneered.

"Even if it's a wind-thunder flying sword, how could it dare compete with our treasure? Besides, it's carrying the three of us..."

With that, he activated the Spirit Shuttle with all his might.

The two men behind him also seemed to agree, infusing themselves with their own spiritual energy and working together to activate the Spirit Shuttle, unfazed by the thought of Lu Tiandu escaping.

At this moment, Lu Tiandu, while flying on his sword while recharging his spiritual power with a mid-level wind-attributed spirit stone, was feeling somewhat frustrated.

Unaware of the enemy's strength, even with his golden inner armor, he was hesitant to engage them directly. He planned to use his flying sword to create distance, then set up an ambush or flee.

However, he was frustrated by the fact that the enemy, wielding some magical weapon, was even faster than his wind-attributed flying sword, the Suifeng Sword.

An ambush or a direct escape was no longer an option. To prepare for the next battle, Lu Tiandu had to replenish his mana while focusing his flying sword on finding the right moment to engage.

After a short flight, just as he was about to turn south, a streak of silver light flashed from the side, instantly surpassing him.

Lu Tiandu had to lower his flying sword and, secretly clasping several talismans in his hands, remained on guard.

"I wonder why you, my brothers, are chasing me?"

Lu Tiandu, now clearly seeing the shuttle-shaped magical weapon before him, thought to himself, no wonder. It made sense that this spiritual shuttle would outpace his Wind Sword in speed.

Three men in black flew down from the shuttle: one burly, one tall and thin, and the last, seemingly younger but somewhat shorter.

The burly man effortlessly retracted the shuttle.

The three had formed a semi-encirclement around him. The burly man in the center glared at Lu Tiandu with a murderous look.

Having just exhausted his mana using the shuttle, he was secretly recovering it. Seeing Lu Tiandu's presumptuous question, he gave a sinister smile.

"Boy, leave that flying sword and storage bag, and I'll leave you with an intact body!"

Seeing the three men's arrogance in not even taking out their magical weapons, Lu Tiandu was puzzled as to how they managed to pull off such a robbery.

Or did they think he, at the Eleventh Level, was the one who could defeat him?

As soon as they confronted the three, Lu Tiandu knew what was happening. There was a twelve-level strongman, adding to the two he'd spotted following him.

This man was likely the main force, but the situation was still under control.

"This..." Lu Tiandu hesitated. "Brother, could you please spare me? My father is an elder of Wanmiao Temple.

Could you please give me this flying sword as a gift to three of you?" He then produced the foot-long Suifeng Sword in his right hand. Upon hearing the name Wanmiao Temple, the three exchanged glances, each one catching a glint of greed.

What a rich sheep! This inexperienced, under the care of an elder, must be quite wealthy. They'd previously ambushed and killed several disciples of the sect, each of whom had yielded a significant reward.

  "Go!"

Just then, Lu Tiandu shouted coldly from the other side.

He raised his hand and flicked it lightly, sending the Suifeng Sword soaring out in a shimmering green light. The azure light swiftly pierced the short, black-clad figure.

At the same time, Lu Tiandu's hands flicked rapidly, rapidly unleashing several talismans that shot towards the lanky and burly men.

  "Not good!"

Unexpectedly, Lu Tiandu was so decisive. Just a moment ago, he had been threatening to let them go, only to suddenly change his expression and launch a surprise attack, startling the three.

However, they were all experienced fighters, knowing that the opportunity had been lost and it was too late to use their magical weapons. Instantly, each of them produced a primary-level to high-level defensive talisman and flung it towards them.

The fastest were the burly and lanky men. After all, both were at the twelfth level, and their combat experience surpassed the shorter man's.

"Where's the flying sword?"

The shorter man, at the eleventh level of Qi Refining, was startled to see the cyan flying sword that had shot towards him mysteriously vanish in mid-air. Just as he was wondering how it had vanished, he felt a slight chill on his neck, and the golden armor talisman he was about to strike at his chest suddenly blurred from his sight.

  "Third brother!"

The scene that happened at this moment made the other man who had just activated the defensive talisman so angry that his eyes were bloodshot and he roared, "Boy, you are looking for death!"

Hearing the sturdy man's furious cry, Lu Tiandu sneered.

This time, using the wind speed of the Wind Sword in his hand, which was almost the same as teleportation at a short distance, he sneaked up and killed the weakest man instantly, but this was his plan before.

Now that he succeeded in one strike, he didn't have to worry about these two people anymore.

At the same time, the same two high-level Ice Spear Talismans that Lu Tiandu had shot before, mixed with two mid-level Explosive Flame Talismans, also flew towards the other two people in an instant.

A burst of explosions instantly drowned out the two people.

  "Kill!"

Lu Tiandu didn't care about the result of the explosion. After killing the short man, he moved his spiritual consciousness and turned the Wind Sword around, turning into a green light and slashing at the tall and thin man.
