Chapter 21 - 16

Jackup was sitting in a room at a hotel, thinking about his current situation. He asked himself, "What is it about that girl that makes her so attracted to me, a poor man?" He kept asking himself this question in disbelief. Then he suddenly mumbled, "Have I fallen in love with her?" He was asking himself. "No, it's not like that," he said boldly. Jackup thought she would leave from here. "What kind of girl is she who paints?" Jackup had no particular dislike for painters, but no one knew why he didn't like it. Whenever someone asked him why he didn't like painting or art, his only answer was, "There's no future in it!" But these days, Jackup was more focused on the girl than on painting or art. He fell asleep on the bed.

The next day, he woke up and went out for breakfast. He didn't always eat out because he lived alone at home. Today too, he went out for breakfast. He wanted to return quickly, so he went to a nearby restaurant. It wasn't a very big restaurant, but when Jackup ate there, he liked it so much that he ate without stopping. After eating, he was about to go home when he received a call from Rose. He waited for a while and then answered the call. "Hello!" Jackup said. "Hello!" Rose replied. She replied, "The chain you gave me last time, can you tell me where you got it from?" Jackup said, "I told you, she's my mom's friend. She gave it to me as a gift. I asked her for it, and she gave it to me because I liked it." He replied, "Why are you asking me that way?" Jackup told Rose, "Casually!" Rose replied carelessly. Jackup wasn't surprised at all. Rose cut him off. Jackup kept his phone in his pocket and started going home. As soon as he reached home, his assistant gave him a massage, and he relaxed. It was evening, and Rose was still in the same place. Finally, his mother told Jackup that she wanted to meet the one whose chain it was. He was lost in thought, but he didn't get an answer for his question. He kept thinking about various things in his mind. Then, when Jackup reached home, a thought came to his mind. He started talking to himself, "By the way, what happened to Rose?" He saw a chat on his phone, but it was not the time to ask Rose. He took off his coat and threw it carelessly. He had his mobile in his hand and was massaging it. Rose was still sitting on the bed. The sound of a massage came from his mobile. He picked up his phone and saw Jackup's text, "What happened to your foot?" Rose replied, "It was just a broken glass that fell on my foot." Jackup asked, "How is your foot now?" Rose replied, "It's better now." Jackup thought, "Oh, I shouldn't worry about Rose." He sat down."

Jackup simply said "okey I just want to ask this" and he hung up the phone.

Rose was very surprised at his reply and wondered what had happened. She shrugged her shoulders and went back to her work.

When Lucy was returning home, she passed by the bakery near her shop. That bakery was usually open daily, but today it was closed. When she reached home, Mile was not there either. She felt restless and went straight to her room.

After doing all her work Lucy went to Rose's house, Lucy came into Rose's room. Rose became very happy to see her. Lucy was holding a small gift in her hand. Rose looked at her and said hello, but Lucy, instead of replying warmly, answered coldly and with indifference.

Rose asked curiously, "What happened? Why are you upset?"

Lucy sat down beside her and said, "Do you remember the bakery near my shop?"

Rose replied, "Yes, I remember."

Lucy continued, "The day we were making arrangements in that shop, a boy came out from there and told me that the bakery wasn't open yet, but he wanted to talk to me. When I went closer and saw him, I actually liked him. He gave me some cake, and from that day, I started meeting him often."

"Meeting him?" Rose asked in surprise.

"Yes, meeting him. His name is Mile," Lucy said.

"Oh, so what happened now?" Rose asked.

Lucy replied, "It's been two days, and he hasn't been at the bakery. The bakery is closed."

"Oh, so that's why you look so upset," Rose said carelessly.Oh I also have something to tell you.Rose said, "I told you about the checkup." Lucy replied, "Yes, you did." I had a chain, and she held it in her hand, saying, "Look at this chain," and showed it to me. Lucy saw it and then looked at me. "But you asked me carelessly, 'Why don't I get nightmares?'" Rose replied, "But what does your nightmare have to do with this chain?" Lucy asked. "I don't know either," Rose said, shrugging her shoulders. Lucy looked at the chain for a while and then gave it back to Rose. Rose said, "I don't know what's so special about this. You know Mom also wants good for me, and she gave me this chain." Lucy said, "Aunty wants good for me too!" "But why?" I asked with great surprise. "I don't know," she said, "I asked her the reason, and she said she'd tell me later." Rose said, shrugging her shoulders, "Do you know that when I went for my checkup today, Jacob was also there?" "What was he doing there?" Lucy asked. "I don't know," she said, "but he was saying he came to get a bracelet, but he didn't get the bracelet. His mother told him to go to the counter and ask the nurse where he was coming from." Rose said, giving a surprised look. I told Lucy about Adrien. Rose also said, "Marium, don't be afraid, she also wants a secret." We cut fruits and juice, and I kept them in a glass, and then we left.
