Elaine, following the time Douglas had informed her, went over to tell James Mason that the hypnosis was over.
When James Mason walked in, Douglas was sitting there, looking extremely fatigued. Iris Harris had her eyes closed, facing Douglas, her face was covered with a fine cold sweat, suggesting some immense struggle she had endured.
"She resisted fiercely," Douglas said despondently, "To continue, we can only increase the drug dosage. But, given her current health, perhaps..."
"Increase it."
Douglas opened his eyes, looked at James Mason, and there was a trace of fear in his eyes, "But... even if we increase the dosage, the possibility of failure is still very high. She's already ill, if we force hypnosis, she might really remember nothing..."
