One night, as Lucky starts to find a place to rest she hears singing-soft, wordless notes drifting on the wind. She dances and follows the melody to where it is originating from. She comes along a massive hollow tree standing straight up and pulsed with light. Inside there were fairy spirits-echoes of those who had once fought the darkness and failed. They warned her, "The corruption in the Tanglewood has gotten to a lot of places and gotten to a lot of fairy-kind. It goes even deeper and we don't want to lose any more fairy-kind like you to the darkness. The only way to stay you is to remember who you are."
"But I don't even know who I really am yet!" She replied out loud to herself. The echoes heard her reply, "they'll find out." said the echoes, "But do it before the forest finds out first." The next morning Lucky heads deeper in the forest and stumbles upon a dying grove of glow root flowers. Lucky rushes over and starts to save the grove from being consumed by a shadow moss beast.
But this time Lucky had to fight the beast. She picks up a long stick and casts a light spell on the stick, and swings it at the beast. The beast rears back and runs off. While traveling a shadowed ravine, Lucky encountered a thornling, a Prickly, mischievous creatures cursed by the forest. It challenges her to a game of riddles. If she lost, she'd be trapped in the thorns forever. "Are you ready fairy?" said the Thornling, "Yes, I am ready." Says Lucky.
"Here's the riddle, but you have three chances to get it right" "What goes on four legs in the morning, two legs at noon, and three legs in the evening, what am I?" "Is it a bug?" "Wrong. Two more tries, fairy." "Is it a fairy?" "Wrong again. One more try, fairy." "Is it the seasons?" "Ding ding ding, you got it right."
Lucky wins but only by a hair, and the Thornling releases her, and the other three trapped creatures. As she goes deeper, she enters into a glade filled with shimmering fog. As she walks through the fog the Witching's locket starts to hum in a low pitch. Lucky grabs the locket for her bag and she walks slowly through the fog. As she walks through, she sees light in the distance. She appears in front of a lake and reflects the fears and trauma to who looks into it. As she looks into the lake, she sees her younger self getting bullied and getting rocks thrown at her.
Lucky starts to shake, and cower but remembers the path ahead and all who she can save. Lucky starts whispering " I am brave, I am Strong, I am Lucky." Again, and again, as she looks up the fog dissipates.
