"Lisa, stop right there." Claire caught up to her at once, calling out sharply.
As expected, she had been deliberately avoiding both her and Zanna.
"So it's you, Miss Miler." Realizing she couldn't escape, Lisa turned around, an awkward smile plastered on her face.
"Where have you been all this time? Your phone's been off. What exactly happened? Did Zanna or I treat you poorly? Or was there some reason you didn't even want to say goodbye before leaving?" Claire asked sternly.
"I…" Lisa lowered her head, shame clouding her expression. "I'm sorry, Miss Miler."
"Come on. You're going to explain everything. I trusted you, and this is how you repay me? That's really not right." Claire grabbed her hand and led her outside. This time, she was determined to get answers and untangle the knot in her heart.
"Miss Miler, it's me who wronged you. I'm so sorry." Lisa suddenly hugged Claire, sobbing uncontrollably.
