"The Watson family is truly prestigious and incredibly wealthy," Lisa remarked in awe.
Butler Lo chuckled. "The Watsons have been thriving for over a century, ever since their ancestors laid the foundation. Their wealth runs deep but so does their refinement."
"Of course, of course," Lisa nodded eagerly, still full of admiration.
As they spoke, they arrived at a small sandalwood door.
Before Butler Lo could say a word, the door opened and Gilbert stepped out.
"Mr. Watson, hello," Lisa greeted him at once with a polite smile. "I'm here to see Ms. Miler."
Gilbert's gaze flicked toward the folder in her hands. "What's all this?"
"Just some routine reports that need Ms. Miler's signature," Lisa explained with a practiced, deferential smile.
"Let me see," Gilbert said, extending his hand.
Lisa quickly passed the documents to him. Butler Lo, realizing his presence was no longer needed, quietly excused himself.
