Leonard's convoy and my car intercepted, and I switched my car for Leonard's, right beside him. My whole body ached from the long ride. Now what will I tell Leonard I came all the way to this place to do?
The truth was out of the options as I didn't want to look helpless in his eyes. And to think that I was so close to getting answers but didn't, made the pain in my body almost unbearable. I can't believe I took all this pain for nothing.
Maybe I should have silenced the feeling that made me hesitate. Maybe I should have insisted I went alone, and refused to be accompanied by Rowan and Maro. Or maybe, just a thought though, I should have ignored the message, and leave the past in the past.
But none of that seemed to matter now, whatever made Leonard come after me with so much urgency was important, but he wouldn't say it, instead he had suggested we go home to our kids.
