I got into the car, and dialed Maro's number, since calling Nicole's phone was not only a waste of time but also, an additional source of worry. All three drivers were waiting for my instruction since they had no clue as to where we were headed.
"Pick up," I groaned impatiently once the phone began to ring, and let out a sigh when on the second ring, Maro answered even though that was not a guarantee that everything was okay.
"Good day, boss." He called from the other end. He sounded fine, and didn't seem like anything bad had happened.
"Where is my wife?" I asked, cutting through pleasantries, and while I waited for his response, I held my breath.
