I left for the office with a resolve to pay Nicole three times the amount with which she bought the shares. She might not know exactly how much, but buying the shares from Louis has saved the company, and myself from a lot of troubles. I mean, what would have happened if someone else had bought it instead? How would I partner with a person I already do not like?
All three cars rolled out of the compound with a little more speed than usual once I took my position in the car. It was twenty minutes past my usual departure time, and yeah, a little more speed is appreciated.
My phone beeped just then, to indicate a new message. It was from Idris, and I rolled my eyes after reading the text.
"Don't tell me you've decided to stay back with her " the message read. I had texted him of Nicole's decision from the hallway, and he's only replying now, and this is the only thing he got to say.
