"TASHIA, where are they?" Lawrence suddenly asked Tashia, who also looked flustered and worried.
He saw Sharlene's child, who was surprised to see him, so Ashley just hugged Tashia.
He just calmed himself down. He suddenly remembered the childhood of her mother, Sharlene, and he just smiled.
He ruffled the child's hair. "I'm sorry I startled you." He apologized to Ashley at that time.
He saw her bracelet. He knew that Sharlene had given this gift to her child.
"You scared the child, Lawrence." Justine said to him.
"Just don't disturb them for now, because their minds are wandering."
Lawrence furrowed his brow at what his companion said. "The mind travels?" he asked, confused.
"I know it's difficult to believe, but they are traveling to a place that people like us cannot go."
He thought for a moment and understood how Sharlene knew his cousin Leah.
Justine looked at him, also confused.
"Fine, no one will bother them, but I'll give them an hour, and if they don't wake up, you will take us to Leah, Tashia." They heard a voice.
They then saw Martin.
"Why are you here?" Justine asked the man.
Lawrence is processing what Martin said.
"How do you know this? What did you say when Leah was there?" He asked and faced Martin.
"Dad!" The child immediately ran towards his father. The father even picked Ashley up and looked at him meaningfully.
"Tashia, why don't you also show them what you used to see?" Martin could only address the silent Tashia.
She was surprised by what Martin said. "I—it can't be." Tashia said.
"What do you know, Tashia?" Justine asked, puzzled by their actions.
"I know you have the ability, just like your sister Vivianne. Would you like to give them a try?"
The young woman just shook her head and hid her hand. Lawrence didn't want to force the issue and understood her reluctance. He just wonders what the situation has to do with Leah.
"Aunt Tashia is scared; she doesn't want to see that." Ashley simply told them.
"Grandma said Mom also has the ability to travel, and I can do that too, but not as clearly as Aunt Vivianne." She even said.
"Ashley, when did you find that out?" Tashia could only ask the child.
"When I was still in the hospital, but it's still not clear, and I know Mom will get angry." Ashley told Tashia. Martin put down the child Ashley, and suddenly Ashley was holding his hand.
He saw some kind of memory. Quickly, it flashed in his mind. Suddenly, they found themselves in dark surroundings. He gasped, Ashley still holding onto him.
"Don't let go." The child said to him.
He just nodded. He scanned his surroundings.
"Aunt Leah is here." The child even said to him.
That's why he kept looking around; he really wanted to talk to her about what happened and why Leah suddenly disappeared from them.
Ashley was pointing at something; she saw a woman in white walking in the air. She didn't recognize her from afar, but as she got closer and closer to them, his heart started racing when she finally saw Leah.
"Tita?" she could only ask her.
The child stopped him from letting go of Ashley's grip. The child walked towards Leah.
It didn't move. It just stared at the two of them.
"Tita Leah," Lawrence called her again.
"I can't hold him back anymore." She shook her head at them, her eyes filled with sadness as she stared into the void.
He couldn't tell who or what it was. "It's my fault that I gave in to my anger and hatred at that time."
hatred back then." Leah was talking to herself, and it looked like she was blaming herself.
"Where is Mom?" Ashley asked Leah. "Where are they now?" the child asked.
"If you get in there, you might not be able to come back." She turned her back; she let her anger consume her.
"Lawrence, I know that's you." Leah smiled at him sadly.
"Please, Tita Leah, what happened?" He asked, his mind in turmoil.
Leah caressed his cheek. The events of the past overwhelmed him. After getting married and falling in love, she didn't give up on her husband even when he begged to come back. However, everything changed when Leah got pregnant. Manuel forced Leah to abort their child. When she decided to fight back, she was hurt by him. The last thing Lawrence saw was Leah being buried alive.
He looked at her, not knowing what emotion was welling up inside him now, not realizing how heavy this feeling would be until she passed away.
"I thought someone would help me, but they were just deceiving me." She was crying in front of him.
He saw its past, crying alone in the darkness.
"Why? Why?" Leah consistently questioned Felicia's refusal to assist with the case. Leah believed her mind would be at peace, but Felicia betrayed her.
Lawrence saw her eyes filled with revenge, hatred, anger, and betrayal.
"I really want to get revenge! I really want to make them suffer! Even my family, including my parents, became involved!" Lawrence had never seen Leah angry before.
"Do you really want revenge?" He also heard a voice from Leah's past.
Leah, who was crying, kept looking around.
"Who are you?" she asked. The voice that keeps calling is hiding in the darkness.
"I am you, you are me." Suddenly, a persona of the individual emerged, and Lawrence gasped at what he witnessed.
"Do you really want revenge?" She asked again.
"I really want to! But what can a soul like me do?" she asked in one of Leah's personas.
"Don't worry, do you remember the vow you made back then?" it asked Leah.
She gasped. Upon discovering the death of her parents, she recollected the treachery of her close companions. Lawrence noticed her distress.
"Even if I can't take revenge on earth, I will personally fetch your souls from hell! I will be the karma in your lives!" Leah, who had been crying and lamenting, suddenly burst into laughter, as if she was losing her mind.
"Do you remember that? That's why I'm here. I am the karma that will come for them. I will avenge everyone who hurt you, and you can choose to accept that." The woman couldn't help but say...
Lawrence caught a glimpse of its second persona, eyes filled with rage and unforgiveness, wearing a white dress like Leah's.
Lawrence saw that it accepted it; one persona vanished after it agreed, and a strong wind blew, almost blowing him and Ashley away.
He saw the woman in mourning, her lips adorned with a strange smile. He did not see the real Leah; he knew she had succumbed to the anger she felt and had given birth to a second persona that would take revenge on those who had hurt her.
"Her determination to find out who killed my parents intensified even more, and besides, Raymundo was also imprisoned and could never be freed. Ashley, I tried to talk to her, but I couldn't convince her anymore." Leah could only say to them.
"Point it out, Leah. I'll go, I'll go, I'll plead with her." Lawrence could only say to his cousin,.
She shook her head. "Lawrence, think of Ashley; the child isn't ready to travel yet." Leah said, feeling sad.
He just came to his senses now. "How can I help you?" Lawrence could only ask her.
She smiled at him, and she looked at him sadly. "Nothing, you won't do anything; we will both disappear into the darkness, because she's my other half. I am the reason she is here, so I will pay a great price for that." Leah explained further to him.
"Tita, I won't allow it." He shook his head. He wanted to make amends with his cousin for not being able to attend to her loss.
Leah shook her head. "I'm already happy just to have seen you, Lawrence. Alright, Ashley can't take it anymore." She pushed Lawrence again.
He gasped, noticing Ashley. He was suddenly shocked when she became weak; she was about to fall to the floor, but fortunately, he quickly caught her. He laid the child down then; she was weak and seemed to be in pain.
"Ashley, Ashley." Tashia immediately called out to her. "Breathe deeply, Ash; this pain will subside. Breathe slowly; breathe." It seems Tashia is pacing herself with the child.
"W—What's happening to her?" He asked, confused.
"What did you see, Lawrence? Why does your face look like that?" Martin asked him.
He couldn't speak immediately. He didn't know how to tell them.
"Aren't you worried about Ashley?" Lawrence asked Martin.
"I am confident that she will recover; it's merely a consequence—a cost to bear. She witnessed the past and the journey, and now it's your time to bear the consequences. What did you see?" He repeated this question.
He just sighed; Justine quietly looked at him, trying to understand what was happening.
