"Mom," Ashley called her.
"Yes, Ashley?" Sharlene only questioned Ashley when she was brushing her hair.
"When can I start school?" Sharlene listened as her child gazed at her.
They are currently staying at their rental house in Vivianne because she hasn't taken her child to the mansion yet.
She smiled. "When this is over, you won't be allowed to go out of the house," Sharlene said.
"We will help Aunt Leah, right?" she asked her.
She nodded at the child and hugged her tightly. Until now, she still can't believe that she can talk to her, hug her, and hold her. "I miss you so much, Ashley." She used to say that.
The child just smiled at her, looking at her intently. She looked at her bracelet. Sharlene took it off.
"That's yours." She gave it to Ashley, and she smiled at her.
"But your mom gave this to you, right?" Ashley asks her while looking at her mom.
She only nodded. "But I will give it to you because I also want to pass on to you the bracelet my mother gave me." She explained further.
She heard a knock. "Sister Sharlene." Tashia called her.
"Tashia, go ahead," she said.
"Sis, Attorney Madrigal is here." She ended up saying it to her.
She just nodded. She took the child with her and then faced her cousin, who was fully supportive of Gonzalez.
Justine just waited for her in the small living room of their apartment, Vivianne. She sat down first and cradled the baby.
Justine stared at her and then back at Ashley.
"I'm glad that she's okay." He heard her say it and even smiled at the child.
She only just nodded then; she knew there was more to come, so she sighed deeply.
She even heard him exhale.
"You need to know this, Nacario Raymundo Santiago: he passed away yesterday."
They exchanged glances with those who were there listening. "Passed away?" she asked his companion.
He nodded in response. "What about the case in court?" she asked.
"The court wouldn't be able to do anything but dismiss the case." He said seriously.
"If you're lucky, then." Vivianne said. "How about Sheila?" she asked him.
"About that, let's put it on hold for now, because she's not in the right mind nowadays; I don't know what happened to her."
"What happened to Sheila?" Sharlene asked back then.
"She's having a difficult time; she keeps saying she's going to be killed and that she sees a woman, I think, Leah. Leah is always saying on her lips, "Justine told them the condition of Sheila right now.
"Can Martin talk to her properly?" Vivianne asked.
"Martin no longer visits that place after the confrontation. Don't look at me like that, Sharlene; I just followed what Martin wanted. Moreover, the death of Raymundo Santiago coincided with it." He further explained it to her.
"The evidence we have gathered is strong; there remain bones in that mansion, and also, remains of Leah." He added this information to the group.
Sharlene thought for a moment. She needs to visit Sheila.
"Was Sheila locked up in her mansion?" Sharlene asked her cousin.
Justine only nodded.
"Sis, we need to go see Sheila," Tashia couldn't help but say.
She nodded then. "Justine, can you take us there?" She asked a favor of the man.
"Yeah, but why?" Justine asked, puzzled.
"Just, I really need to see Sheila."
"Okay? Let's go." Even though he was puzzled, he nodded anyway. She brought her child with her then because there was no one to leave behind.
They quickly got into the car. Sharlene wondered why Leah no longer visited her.
Is she seeking revenge now that Raymundo is there? Sharlene couldn't help but wonder in her mind.
They immediately traveled to the town of San Mateo; she would watch out that Leah didn't become enraged and vanish like a bubble and erase her existence.
Ashley just looked at her with concern. She held the child's hand then, telling her not to worry too much.
Sharlene is now anxious about what they will find at Sheila's mansion.
Justine drives the car fast, even though the province they are going to is quite far, and because it is not like the city with traffic, they immediately saw the Province of San Mateo. Upon arrival, they went directly to Sheila's current residence.
Justine parked the car, saw the maid who looked frightened because her lips were pale, and she greeted them.
"W—What happened?" She asked.
"Madam Sheila is shouting alone again today. If an evil spirit is influencing her, we can no longer understand what's happening." The maid reported it to Sharlene.
"Tashia, hold Ashley for a moment." She quickly entered Sheila's mansion, witnessing almost all the pain Leah is currently experiencing.
"W—Where is Sheila's room?" she asked.
The maid pointed it out. "M—Ma'am, something might happen to you." Concern for her.
She only smiled at her. "Sharlene." Vivianne suddenly called out to her.
"I'll accompany you inside." Vivianne couldn't help but say.
"Vivianne." She could only shake her head at her.
"Just leave me alone, sis." She could only stare in disbelief at her sister.
She just sighed; they immediately opened the room where Sheila was.
She was screaming as if she was escaping from something; she kept moaning repeatedly and crying, and it seemed like she was about to lose her mind. Her two hands were tied.
"Why! Why!" She shouted this question as if there were someone in front of her.
They exchanged glances, Vivianne with her hair in disarray.
"When did she become like this?" Sharlene could only ask Vivianne.
"Sis, before this happened, Leah visited her, along with her sister Angely and Raymundo; Leah showed and made her experience everything she was going through." This made her say.
"Another reason is that Sheila couldn't accept that Martin and Justine outsmarted her; she thought she would win the game, and that's also why she ended up like that." She swallowed hard.
Vivianne gasped. "Sister, she's also a victim. Just like you said, she's a victim in this world; she was raped when she was fifteen, back when you were still friends. Vivianne looked at her with shock on her face.
"Vivianne, your nose is bleeding." She just said it out of concern.
"I'm okay, Sharlene. We need to calm Leah down, especially since Raymundo is there, which is why she hasn't been in touch with us."
She just nodded. "Tell me when you can't take it anymore, Vivianne. We'll go back immediately." She even said.
Sharlene grabbed Vivianne's hand, and suddenly the surroundings darkened. When she opened her eyes, the silence was uncanny. A soul greeted them.
Sharlene gasped.
"Leah." She was wearing a white dress; she suddenly remembered her outfit when she died. She looked at them crying.
Vivianne and Sharlene exchanged glances. "Show us where they are now." Calmly, said Vivianne.
It nodded to them. She just looked at Vivianne, and they followed. They arrived at the designated location.
Upon entering, she heard Leah's joyful laughter; what she saw then was heartbreaking.
"Sharlene! Help!" shouted her grandma Felicia.
Leah fell silent then and raised an eyebrow. She looked around.
"Have mercy, Sharlene." Begging her. She was greatly surprised to see Sheila there.
