Ragnar opened his eyes his vision was blurry,he couldn't hear anything almost like he was on his death bed,but he was he was perfectly fine yet he was not.The healers did everything in there power to heal him but they failed
The healer frantically walked around not knowing what could have caused Ragnar's injuries the only thing he can do is speculate "Maybe the damage was delt to his mana core that's why I can heal it.... or maybe it's it's just me forming an excuse for myself"
"Where am I?" Ragnar's voice was weak and the healer could barely hear it,"don't worry kid your okay for the time being" he said that with a worried expression on his face and trying not to show how clueless he is about his condition
"All you need to do is rest for a bit and you should be alright" Ragnar's did not reply he closed his eyes and fell asleep, "OH no his dead" he checked his heart and found out it was still beating and he let of a sigh of relief
"His okay.... that's good am not going to loose my job". Ragnar was drifting in an empty space in his mind,it was dark,cold and lonely. He couldn't feel any muscle in his body, He couldn't even see
He was confused and tried to move but his body didn't want to move, "What's happening?... Why can't I move my body?"
He stopped struggling and accepted his fate "so this is how I die... useless" he let of a chuckle as he wallowed in self pity
A giant eye suddenly opened "Your still alive idiot" A deep and commanding voice replied,Ragnar was baffled at the size of the eye because it comparable to a month
"Hey kid can you hear me?" The voice let out an intense pressure, Ragnar instantly said "Yes I can hear you,but who are you?". Ragnar was scared knowing that in his current condition he couldn't hope to win
"As I told you before kid I can't tell you my name because you are not yet strong enough". The more Ragnar stared at the eye the more he felt a sense of familiarity with it "Do I know you?"
The beast ignored his question,"I just wanted to tell you that in order to save you from yourself I had to damage one of your mana core but you should alright", Ragnar got more confused because he was tough a person could only have one mana core... Actually it was just common sense
"What do you mean a person can only have one mana core right?", Light started to appear in the deep dark space, "Don't worry Ragnar when your strong enough", Ragnar vision was returning and he could move his muscle again, the space around him was disappearing
Ragnar still had so many questions to ask but his time was up, In the real world Ragnar stretched his arm out and yelled "WAIT", Alys was confused and startled "Wait for what Ragnar"
Ragnar could move his body And he didn't feel weak anymore the damage delt to his mana core has been healed. He put his arm down and looked at Alys "Nothing I just had a confusing dream is all" he had a faint smile on his face
Light went to Ragnar and sat right besides him "We got a little scared when they said they don't know what happened to you,but am glad your okay"
A knock was heard from the door "Young Ragnar are you alright now?" Edward came through the door to everyone's surprise, Ragnar looked at him with a smile on his face "Yeah am alright old man" They looked at each other and started laughing like old time friends
Everyone is looking at Ragnar wondering how does Ragnar know Mr Godfrey. Magna stood up "Sir are you acquainted with Ragnar" , Edward nodded his head "Yes young Ragnar is my dear student"
"Since when?" Alys yelled, Light started laughing "isn't it obvious Ragnar is a kid with a massive amount of mana and he's the only person to use portal magic in a thousand years of course he is Godfrey's student"
"It does make sense" Alys started to calm down and bit, "Yeah it makes sense" Magna sat down
Edward started hitting his head trying to remember what he came here for "That's right i wanted to see the four of you" Edward instantly got excited to tell them something
"What did you want to tell us old man", Edward pulled out an envelope from his robe "I shouldn't be telling you this but what's the harm", All four of them started listening closely
"Ragnar Wryd, Alys voldric, Magna Voldric and Light Excalibur I say this with great pleasure all of you here have been accepted to Saint high" , All of their eyes were wide opened and they all let of a loud "YES"
Edward with a faint smile left them to ponder the information given to them
Ragnar started laughing uncontrollably everyone looking at him with concern. When Ragnar eventually stopped he had a smile on his face
"Sorry, it's just I never thought I'll get this far,you know?"
"Why weren't you confident?" Alys asked
From everyone's understanding Ragnar has always been strong partly because they don't know him and because no one could ever guess that someone can get as strong as Ragnar did in a span of one week.
"You could say i wasn't always this strong" Ragnar looked side ways trying to avoid her gaze. He was a little bit embarrassed about the fact.
"Then how did you get this strong then" Alys curiously asked Ragnar
"The old man helped me out" pointing at the door Edward went out off
"Mr Godfrey trained you?!?" Everyone said simultaneously
"Yes it's not that big of a deal,although I did know he was the headmaster of this school no wonder he wanted me to attend.... interesting" Ragnar started rambling to himself
Ragnar started talking to himself about why did Edward tell him about this as everyone looked at him like he was a weirdo
After everyone was done familiarizing themselves with everyone they were all told to go home and they were also told that the results will take about a week to come out so for the time being they will have to wait.
Everyone wasn't fully convinced that Ragnar was okay so they volunteered to take him home Ragnar was initially not sure about taking them to him house but they reassured him that they won't judge because he is a commoner
That's not what am worried about, am actually worried about my sister she tends to jump to conclusions and who told you am a commoner
"You are a commoner, aren't you?" Magna said in confusion
"You even dress like one" Alys backup Magna
"You now what never mind" Ragnar continued walking
When they arrived at Ragnar's house they were all surprised to see a mansion
"Master Ragnar I keep telling you not to go to places looking like that!" A beautiful maid rushed to Ragnar and slapped him in the face
"Ouch that hurts merlin and I already told you I wear this clothes so I can walk around the capital without standing out"
"That's not an excuse Ragnar you are the brother of a prestigious vice count so act like it" merlin continued on scolding him
They keep this back and forth going for a clean fifteen minutes, until Alys cough to make them realize they were still there
"OH I forgot to introduce them this are my friends Alys and Magna Voldric and Light Excalibur"
"Voldric...as in the Duke Voldric?!?"
"Yes I am Alys voldric"
"And I am Magna Voldric"
"It's a pleasure to meet you and why are you walking around with a boy like Ragnar" she said With an elegant voice and a calmer demeanor
"That switch up was fast" Ragnar said in disappointment
"And my name is light Excalibur" he said feeling left out of the conversation
"Excalibur I don't seem to recall that name are you a noble" merlin curiously wandered
"Yes I'm a noble for another country"
"Which one?"
"I'm supposed to tell another it's a succession war"
"Yeah I understand so I'm I to assume that Light is not your actual name"
"Yes but I can't tell you my real one"
"That's okay I will find it out with time"
With Light happy that he was included in the conversation they all made their way inside the mansion and into they living area
"The decor is beautiful and it's well maintained merlin you must be an excellent maid" Alys said while looking around
"I hardly deserve that praise I'm just doing my job as a maid"
She bowed slightly
"But I will accept your most generous compliment"
"Why don't you ever talk to me like that" Ragnar was pouting in the background"
"Ragnar if you don't go up stairs and change bs you call clothing I will kill you!" Merlin said while shouting at Ragnar
Ragnar quickly ran up stairs to change his clothes
"And while you are up there take a bath"
"Whatever okay am going"
"And I won't be joining you i have to attend to the guest"
"What!" Magna said in confusion
