Ragnar thought to himself "Wait what does she mean can't she sense my mana?"
"Hey miss what are you talking about I have more mana than you"
"I see so you are delusional well let's get this match over with"
Watching from the stands Edward Godfrey couldn't help but laugh
Ordric looked at Edward with confusion "why did you recommend a kid who has little to no mana?"
"Ordric my dear boy if you can't sense the mana within Ragnar you are weaker than I thought" Edward continued laughing
"Sir you can't mean"
"Yes that's exactly what I mean"
"So Ragnar's mana is so pure that not even I can sense it"
In this world there's different purities of mana the more pure your mana is the easier it is to cast spells. There's 6 levels of purity 6 to 5 being the lowest, people that have this level of mana find it hard to cast spells,most of them just quit trying to be mages, then there's 4 to 3 this purity is what's considered to be normal because not many people are known to have more mana purity than this and then there's 2 to 1 this being the highest purity any spell they cast gets an increase in power and they can even use there mana to make healing potions of the highest grade
The only people that can sense this kind of mana are people who are grade 5 to 1 magic knights. Ragnar possess level 1 purity
"Let the match begin"
Ragnar rushes Lilia trying to throw a punch but Lilia appears behind Ragnar
"Your to slow Ragnar dear"
"What do you mean miss"
Lilia falls throw a portal that appeared below her legs she appears in front Ragnar and she gets punch in her stomach sending her flying
Lilia getting up trying to compose herself "Wait I sensed no mana from this kid but he punched me with a fist imbued with mana"
She looks at the direction of Ragnar but he was no longer there
"Where did he go"
Suddenly Ragnar just kicks her in the back of her head
"Damn that portal magic of his is annoying but that kick had less mana imbued to it than his punch"
Ragnar thought to himself "I still can't control my mana output but I have to keep pushing"
"I've had enough of this Aqua chains[ 8th grade magic]"
Ragnar was binded and couldn't move and it seems the harder he tried the tighter the chains got. Ragnar tried to open a portal but his magic was negated
"It's over Ragnar you had a nice run"
Ragnar was showing visible distress the situation was very dire for him
Ragnar voice began to weaken as tears where running down his eyes
"No I can't loose,not after all that training"
Ragnar believes that he has not done enough for him to pass he was filled with despair
"Don't worry kid my chains imbue you with my mana forcefully,making it difficult to cast spells"
"Wait..."
A spark was lit inside of Ragnar as he found a way to counter the spell
"My magic is still working,it's just that I can't cast my spells because her mana is flowing inside me"
Ragnar realized that all he had to do was to overpower her mana with his own mana. Ragnar proceeds to close his eyes and and channel all his mana throughout his body
And at that moment only for a split second everyone saw how much mana Ragnar possess, leaving everyone frozen with fear
Ragnar opens a portal and falls into to it while,Lilia is still frozen
Lilia was trying to put her thoughts together
"How can one kid possess so much mana? I think Ragnar has mana levels equivalent to a Divine grade magic knight" she takes a step back preparing for Ragnar next attack
Ragnar was confused on why she suddenly stopped using her spell
"What's going I broke free from her spell but why is she acting like that"
A portal opened behind Lilia and Ragnar throwed a punch at Lilia,she barely dodges it,Then he opens a portal directly at her face and throws another punch landing the blow and sending her flying
"I need to get myself together,I am loosing to this kid"
Ragnar thought to himself "If I keep this up I can win"
But then Ragnar's nose started bleeding,his knees felt weak almost like all the strength in his body was being drained from his body
"What's happening to me" Ragnar said With a weak voice
"Edward what's happening to the boy" the vice principal asked
Edward with a worried expression on his face "portal magic is a pretty advanced form of magic for a young boy like him,his body is giving out"
"OH so the boy won't be able to keep this up for much longer and just when it was getting good"
"What's going on Ragnar you don't seem so hot" Lilia asked while walking towards the boy
"Dammit I am going to loose,what should I do,wait what can I do?"
"Ragnar" a deep menacing voice spoke in Ragnar's mind
"Ragnar can you hear me"
"Who are you" Ragnar asked
"I can't tell you at the current moment you are not strong enough"
"What are you talking about"
"Stop fighting Ragnar there are people watching,people that will kill you if you continue using your powers"
"And why would I listen to you when I've worked so hard to get where I am"
"Ragnar think" the voice got louder
"Okay then I you won't listen to me then I will put you down by force"
Ragnar fell to the ground completely unconscious and unable to move
"R-Ragnar lost"
"What happened for a split second there it felt like Ragnar's body was possessed by someone else,someone very strong" Lilia picks up Ragnar and takes him to get healed
"Edward who is this kid and why does he have to be this much trouble?"
Everyone was left speechless at that moment nobody doubted that Ragnar passed with flying colors
In the seats of one of the spectators a man wearing a white robe the man was distinguishable from the rest but it almost like nobody can see him
"That kid showed promise,but in the end he was just another weakling,they all are but at least we got information on Alys"
