However, he had only possessed it briefly before his death. He had never discovered what happened at those gatherings, leaving his curiosity unanswered.
In many ways, receiving an invitation proved that someone considered you influential. Yet that explanation left Max with a question.

'I didn't consider it much before, but did he kill someone who had one? Or was he invited himself?' Max wondered. 'He became stronger quickly and learned about Vows. What are the actual criteria?'
