Anthony and Mary was quite thankful that unlike the more uniform domesticated Pokemons census, the undomesticated once are more scattered around town and thus subsequently, they were allowed to just sweep the city one time (of course, given that they will do it seriously) and then put stickers on all Pokemons they saw and counter before going back to the satellite lab for them to submit the results, making them able to finish quite early.
After they finished the census, they immediately passed the results to the head of the satellite lab and asked for permission to go back to Cinnabar island as fast as possible. Seeing nothing really pressing that the two interns should be doing, as they have already finished their task, the head scientist agreed without much trouble. After the permission was granted, the two decided to go back to the green development center around 1, and for now had lunch before writing their respective lab reports for both the domesticated and undomesticated census.
After that, they also compiled in separate clipboards the two different censuses they did and then submitted them to the satellite lab alongside the remaining foods, stickers, and ball-point pens that they used. These things are equipments of the lab and of course, needed to be returned after everything is nice and done.
As the interns had finished their lunches around 11 am, Anthony and Mary decided to do their own things before setting sail to Cinnabar Island. Mary slept with her Pokemons and said to Anthony that he should wake her up when they're about to go. Anthony, on the other hand, decided to train Zubat and Miltank in the underwater training facilities of the satellite lab, which he had grown to be more fascinated with, as it was able to train strength and lung capacity at the same time. Zubat spent 30 minutes dodging 'bullets' underwater, while Miltank just ran a treadmill while it was being pressed with double the force of the water where Zubat was training, apparently simulated similarly to how a gravity room works.
There's a Pokémon that can canonically create a small black hole, so gravity manipulation in this world already has a blueprint.
Anthony mulled and entertained himself while looking at Miltank run hard inside the gigantic water tank for 30 minutes before letting it out of the tank. Anthony then used a hair dryer and a comb to fix up the fur of his Pokemons before looking at the time.
"1:00..."
While staring at the analogue clock in his designated room, Zubat suddenly looked at the window of the room, its face suddenly brightening, while Miltank went next, also looking quite joyous. Anthony, who was about to invite the two Pokemons to the room of Mary's room to wake her up, was confused, only for a moment, however, as he suddenly heard the resounding cry of their 'cruise ship'
"Laaaaaaa! Prrraaaaaa!"
The Cargo Pokemon announced its arrival with such, making Anthony stay silent for a moment before looking at his Pokemons, who have excited and happy faces as if they didn't just move around like crazy inside a pressurized water tank.
"Miii! Miii!"
"Zuuu! Zuuu!"
Miltank jumped around while Zubat seemed to get the zoomies. Somehow, the Pokemons have grown to love the strong breeze of air that comes with travelling at full speed in the water, as this is their reaction too, the third time, when they need to use the Pokemons as transportation. Anthony smiled faintly at this, honestly feeling the same.
Now that an 'alarm' had already sounded, Anthony did not need to say anything to his Pokemons as they opened the door before he could even walk another step, and after Anthony heard the somewhat disgruntled voice of Mary, he also walked out of his room before locking it.

"You submitted the reports quite fast this time around, huh, good job."
Inside the office of Prof. Josie, Anthony and Mary, who now wear casual clothing as they have already rested and are once again ready to go round and about before starting their research writing, are currently sitting in front of the said Professor's mahogany table after presenting the lab reports they have just done a few hours ago.
Sitting further away from them are their Pokemons; they seem to be quietly looking around the minimalistic design of the office, which has pristine white walls as well as some indoor and ornamental plants. It was nothing really special except for two things: the floor-standing aircon opened at max blast and the gigantic varnished statue of 3 Pokemons, Trapinch, Vibrava, and a Flygon, the Trapinch and Vibrava are as tall as Anthony, while Flygon seems to be life-size, reaching almost the ceiling.
_What an odd choice of sizes... there's not even a display of her research achievements..._
While Anthony is thinking about the bizarreness of the room, Mary replies to the jive of their research adviser.
"Y-yes... we wanted to start the research writing immediately so you can still check on it repeatedly before continuing in the 'RAD' of IMRAD."
Prof. Josie nodded silently while reading the lab reports of her two interns, after about a minute of silence caused by the skimming of Prof. Josie to their reports, she finally brought the papers down to her table once more and then looked at Anthony and Mary.
"Well, if there's nothing more, then you're now free to leave. Good luck with your research writing and remember: at the end of this week is your deadline, and you can use any of the lab's repositories for free, okay?"
Anthony and Mary nodded seriously while thanking Prof. Josie before going out of her office with their Pokemons. The duo didn't dally any further inside the green development center and instead went to Anthony's room, the site of their research writing, which had been agreed upon by the two. After the Pokemons were asked to be quiet and were put to sleep for good measure in Anthony's bed by the two, Mary pulled the chair of Anthony's dining table to his study table, wherein the PC of the room provided by the lab is set up.
"So, how do we start the Introduction?"
Mary asked, looking at the blank document in front of them, being flashed by the monitor. Anthony didn't reply immediately; instead, he typed their final research title, which is 'Noise Pollution and Normal-type Pokemon Biodiversity in Fuchsia City,' while also putting 'Anthony Dover' and 'Mary Hane' under the title and then italicizing it. Finally, under the name is the title of their lab, which is 'Cinnabar Island Center of Green Development'. The title was given a bigger font size than the names and the name has a bigger font size than the institution name, Anthony learned this during his college days where he published a paper even though its not required to graduate by the suggestion of his research adviser, though he became a corporate employee so its just there as a trophy of his past.
After doing all of these, Anthony finally replied.
"According to Prof. Josie, we should first describe the most important variable/s of our research, then go from global, regional, and local contexts to justify the reason why we are researching it in the first place, and then legal bases, if possible and if necessary. Also, if I may just add, most journals that I have searched for, even the journal owned by the lab, have a 5000-word count limit excluding the title, names, institution, abstract, and references, so we should also keep that in mind when writing the whole paper."
Anthony made a great effort not to remember the words of his former adviser, which somehow resurfaced for him when he and Mary were being lectured about IMRAD. While Mary saw Anthony as someone with good affinity with understanding research, it's good to not be carefree in hiding that he's a middle-aged man in the body of a 7 years old for good measure.
After hearing this, Mary nodded and reached for the sliding keyboard underneath the study table, and then started to type in 'Normal Type Pokemons' and 'Biodiversity'. She then talked.
"Shouldn't we also explain what the biodiversity index and noise pollution index are?"
For a moment, Anthony considered the suggestion before lightly shaking his head.
"No, I think that can be explained in the methodology since it's our research instruments that we will use and will interpret."
Mary nodded at this before Anthony continued.
"Don't worry about it, Prof. Josie will be providing us with help, so if we need to add or subtract anything in our study, we will know immediately."
Mary nodded before again asking a question.
"Right... but wait, before starting, we should divide the tasks, right? For more efficiency, when we become associate field researchers, we would need to peer review other researchers who requested our help. We can use this for practice."
Anthony once again nodded in silence, thinking on how to divide the task. In all honesty, with disregard for the quality and the revisions that will be given by Prof. Josie, Anthony can write the whole paper alone; he has to consider that this paper is Mary's first, so he has to be careful.
"Well, how do you want to divide it? Should we divide the IM and the RAD amongst ourselves?"
Anthony asked Mary, who started contemplating and soon shook her head.
"I think soloing two each is still too advanced for us, we should do a half and half... though the methodology is too short to be divided, so I think one of us can just write it in full while that someone can have their part in the Introduction reduced to compensate."
For a moment, Anthony weighed in on the suggestions of Mary before slowly nodding.
"I can write the methodology while you start writing about 60 percent of the Introduction, and after your last paragraph, I will pick it up and finish the remaining ones, including the research questions."
It was Mary's turn of Mary to contemplate and agree with the proposed arrangement of Anthony.
"Right, let's do that. Also, how many research questions should we have? In my understanding, since we should describe the data first before making a statistical treatment, maybe around two?"
Anthony nodded at this, and while two may seem small, it should be remembered that interpretations of the results include graphs and charts. Specifically, describing their data includes the first question, which will need the graphs of normal types biodiversity index, the table of the species, and the relative variation of numbers of those species to each other for the last 10 years, not to mention the interpretation itself, which needs lots of citations and paragraphs to explain academically.
Mary, aware of this and already having ample time studying it since she was scolded by Anthony, nodded.
"Then, I should start the Introduction while you start the methodology and research questions, so we can finish as fast as possible. Maybe we can even finish it until tomorrow since we don't have any data collection task for this week once more... which is odd, but we should take advantage of it nonetheless."
After ironing out more details about how they would write the introduction and methodology as well as properly logging in to the large plethora of repositories freely available to all researchers affiliated in the center of green development, the two immediately started their respective tasks with Mary looking for the meaning of biodiversity and noise pollution in online libraries and immediately putting them in the first two sentences.
Anthony, on the other hand, remembered the instructions of Prof. Josie when writing the methodology.
_Apparently, when writing it, you need to describe what the data used in the study is, what the scope and limit are, how the data will be collected and treated, also how the ethics and rigor of the research will be ensured and checked... If this has a thesis book, I just have to extract some things in the tools for data analysis, scope and delimitations, and conceptual framework, huh... what a pain..._
Anthony sighed before pulling out his phone and drafting the methodology, which shouldn't take too many paragraphs. Anthony may even be able to use only one paragraph if he uses all his mental juices. Though given that he needs to explain the biodiversity index and the noise pollution index, he may fail to do so.
The research writing of the two continued throughout the night until around 10 pm, which Anthony knew would become their new schedule for the succeeding 3 months, where they planned to submit their paper. He also felt like something about their schedule on data collecting is somehow wrong, though he only experienced it two times , so he's not really sure.
