Wendy sat in the ambulance; her body so cold as she looked at the charred car that burned right in front of her.
It's been two hours since she witnessed the accident, and to be honest, she felt that it was all a dream. She was sleeping and, in a moment, she would wake up, but seeing the police and other people watching brought her back to reality.
She had already been questioned by the police earlier, and because of the shock, she was now being checked by the police.
A few detectives who came to the scene watched with heavy hearts as the coroners carefully dealt with whatever remained. To think that a person could be reduced to mere ashes with a fire that was completely unheard of.
There was nothing biological to even extract for them to find out who the other person was. They were completely at a loss and could only pray that something would be found at the scene, at least.
"How is our witness doing?"
"Not well!"
"She watched the whole thing!"
