Emma's wedding dress caught fire the moment she put it on.
"Not again!" she groaned, patting out the flames that had sprung from her nervous energy. This was the third dress this morning, and her wedding was supposed to start in two hours.
"Mom, maybe you should just wear your regular clothes," Luna suggested from the doorway. Her daughter looked pale and weak, the cosmic energy still slowly pulling her away from their dimension.
"Absolutely not," Emma said firmly. "This is our proper wedding, and I'm going to look like a proper bride. Even if I have to make my own dress out of cosmic energy."
She closed her eyes and concentrated. Instead of her usual silver light, Emma let her power flow gently. The burned fabric began repairing itself, growing into something beautiful and simple.
"There," she said, admiring her handiwork. "Nothing fancy, but it's perfect."
"Emma!" Kael called from downstairs. "The guests are starting to arrive!"
