As long as you can control your temper, you can always get something good from this lottery system.
Right now, he's gradually accumulating bronze lottery tickets, which will eventually turn into silver and, in the future, even into gold lottery tickets. Surely, something good will come out of it.
After all, time is on his side.
Luo Chen has Kryptonian blood, and his lifespan alone is already far beyond that of ordinary mortals. He can feel the energy coursing through every cell in his body. With this energy, Luo Chen can live for at least a thousand years.
He can match Asgardians in strength.
As time passes, his power will continue to grow, and with it, his lifespan will keep extending.
All in all, he has plenty of time to plan ahead.
After all, the time he had traveled to was still early, not late.
There's always enough time.
"Let's go! Time to bask in the sun!" Luo Chen said, his mood lifted. He immediately turned into a streak of light, flying into the sky toward the clouds to soak up the sun.
Meanwhile, Nick Fury left Tony Stark's house, picked him up by helicopter, and flew straight to New Mexico at 7:00 p.m.
Before boarding the plane, he had arranged for someone to deliver a relic left by Howard Stark to Tony.
Upon receiving his father's relics, Tony Stark felt a mix of emotions—expectation, regret, and even a bit of resentment toward his father, feelings he himself couldn't fully understand.
The relic was a schematic of a model with numerous complex pavilions.
Tony Stark stared at the model, wondering: If it were his father, where would he have hidden the secret of the new element?
"J.A.R.V.I.S., scan this model, then create a digital version and project it!" Tony ordered. "I need a screen to operate the projection!"
Soon, the scan of the entire model was completed.
"1974 Stark Industries Fair, model scanned," came the mechanized voice of J.A.R.V.I.S.
Tony grabbed the digital projection and asked, "How many buildings are there in total?"
"Does this include the Belgian muffin stand?" J.A.R.V.I.S. responded.
Tony walked while holding the projection and said, "I'm just asking—show me the model!"
He found a chair, sat down, and looked at the digital projection in front of him, muttering to himself, "What does this look like, J.A.R.V.I.S.?"
"It kind of looks like an atom!" Tony thought aloud, stretching his imagination. "The nuclei should be here, highlighted by the big sphere!"
He knew his father's secret was hidden somewhere in this model, and he also understood it was a new element. From that perspective, everything else fell into place.
As he analyzed the projection, Tony wondered what kind of atom it could be, and what his father might have been thinking while building it.
"Take the unnecessary parts away—discard the landscape, the bushes, the numbers, the parking lot, the exit, the entrance—use the gazebo as a frame and form the protons and neutrons!" Tony ordered.
With this, a brand-new element emerged.
Looking at the new element in front of him, Tony Stark was overcome with mixed emotions. He had once thought of himself as a peerless genius, surpassing his father in both talent and knowledge. But now, inspired by Luo Chen's diary, he had solved the mystery his father had left behind. This discovery was the key to the future.
No wonder the model had been labeled "The Key to the Future" at the exhibition.
For human society, almost every progress is a revolutionary leap in energy utilization. While the third technological revolution was an information revolution, the true next wave is an energy revolution.
The next generation of energy, nearly everyone agrees, will come from nuclear fusion.
Without nuclear fusion, there will be no new energy revolution, and naturally, no new technological revolution will follow.
And Howard Stark had predicted this decades ago—he had even discovered a new element suitable for nuclear fusion.
This was much earlier than Tony had anticipated, even before the concept of building a nuclear fusion reactor.
However, Howard Stark's era had limited his ability to actually synthesize this element. He could only hypothesize its existence through calculations, but he couldn't create it.
This phenomenon is common in the history of science. Just like how Uranus, Aquaman, and Pluto were only discovered through mathematical models before being observed with advancing technology.
"You've been dead for twenty years, old man, and you're still teaching me," Tony Stark said with emotion.
"The new element you discovered should be able to replace the palladium element," J.A.R.V.I.S. noted. "Unfortunately, it can't be synthesized yet."
This was the same problem Howard Stark had faced—discovery was possible, but synthesis remained out of reach.
"Can't do it?" Tony Stark smirked slightly. It was time for some hands-on work. His father had been limited by the technology of his time, but Tony could now do what his father could not.
With this thought, Tony Stark enthusiastically began to refurbish his mansion, tearing the whole place apart to repurpose it for new equipment.
To ordinary people, a mansion might be precious, but to Tony Stark, it was nothing in comparison to the potential advancements this work could bring.
Once the new element was successfully synthesized, the Ark Reactor could be upgraded with higher power and longer endurance, making new energy a viable market product. This would cause Stark Industries' market value to soar.
"Dad, thank you so much."
In New Mexico, Nick Fury's special plane had just landed, and he was escorted by helicopter to a newly established, makeshift base.
S.H.I.E.L.D.'s brigade was surrounding the area.
"Boss!" Phil Coulson greeted him as he stepped out of the helicopter. "This is a photo of the hammer."
He handed Nick Fury various photos and reports. "Our latest inspection shows that all the energy inside has exploded."
"According to the current reports, there seems to be something hidden inside this hammer—a super giant energy, almost like a fixed star. But it's bound within the hammer, and it's incredibly dangerous. If it explodes, the entire area could be reduced to ashes!"
Nick Fury examined the photos and reports handed over by Phil Coulson, his brow furrowing in concern.
