Chapter 6 - Chapter 6- Seven Guns

In the end, Levi decided to take on this commission.

The box of Light Engraved Bullets couldn't be considered payment, but it's not easy to truly get something from the stingy Elaine.

For this woman to be willing to provide some light-carved bullets is already pretty good.

Watching Li Wei leave the tavern, Aileen picked up a cup of wine and said, "You can come out now."

A lazy voice rang out, and as a fair arm wrapped around Aileen's neck, another stunning blonde with red hair revealed her face behind her.

Aileen slapped the latter's butt hard with the back of her hand and said, "I'm afraid the infamous 'Witch' Judith will snatch the young man's soul away."

"Oh oh..." said the blonde woman known as 'Witch' Judith, "Could it be that this is your little lover? Still hiding so I can't see?"

"Hehe." Eileen smiled and said, "The young man is still too inexperienced, he's not my type."

"You never know, maybe our 'Fire Rose' has changed her taste after being a pub owner for two years?"

"Don't talk nonsense, I just plan to give him the training recommendation letter issued by the headquarters this time."

Judith said with a bit of surprise, "The training recommendation letter from the headquarters? This young man doesn't seem to have even activated his genetic lock, right? Is he qualified?"

"To be precise, he hasn't even reached the level of an extreme physique," Eileen said, "But so what? The spots for training recommendations only require having completed a Class C mission independently."

"Has this young man completed a Class C mission?"

"No, but I just gave him one. During the extermination operation a few months ago, the Iron Cross Avenue branch overlooked a subordinate vampire, and now they want me to clean up their mess for them."

Judith said somewhat speechless, "A kid who hasn't even completed ultimate tempering, going to fight a lower-level vampire and challenge a C-level mission? Eileen, you don't want him to survive, do you?"

Eileen, with red hair, shrugged and said, "Anyway, even if I don't give him the mission, he's still going to cause trouble for that vampire. Might as well get him to complete my mission as well. If he can come back alive, I'll give him the training recommendation spot, as a reward."

Judith said, "Your Fire Rose is still as hot as ever. Let's wish this young man enough luck. However, I think it's more likely that he will become a blood slave to that lower-level vampire."

Eileen said, "Hehe, my boy is not so easy to die. Just wait and see the result. Do you want to make a bet with me?"

"Bet on whether this kid can come back alive?"

"Yes, five amethysts, bet or not?"

"Bet it is!" Judith's competitive spirit was aroused, "Humph, let's see what you do when you lose!"

  ...

Li Wei was unaware that after he left, the two women made a bet on his life.

After obtaining the Light Carving Bullet and gathering relevant intelligence, he began to plan his actions.

Two days later, Li Wei watched Zhang Xi, with a pale face, lead a group of followers into a factory on the edge of Block 17.

Speaking of a factory, in fact, this workshop called "Chalk Dust" is just a small workshop that uses some inefficient machines to process some simple metal parts, with only forty or fifty workers.

The owner of the workshop, named Charlie, is quite ruthless, often squeezing and delaying workers' wages. Not to mention, the working environment of the black workshop is also very poor, and accidents often occur.

Based on his investigation over the past two days, a new accident occurred at the "Chalk Dust" workshop a few days ago: an old machine failed, entangling the two workers who were operating it at the time.

The two workers died on the spot, but boss Charlie claimed that the accident was due to the workers' own operational errors, thereby refusing to compensate for the casualties and injuring the families of the deceased who came to claim compensation.

This approach ignited the long-suppressed anger of the "Chalk Dust" workers. They protested by striking and besieging the workshop.

It's not easy for a heartless boss to give in, is it? He invited the gang from the 17th district, the Skull Gang, to deal with this trouble.

Zhang Xi and his gang came for this very reason.

Li Wei was hiding on the roof of a civilian house outside the workshop, observing the situation from concealment.

There were more than a dozen gang members from the Skull Gang, only about half the number of the workers who had surrounded the workshop. However, these gangsters were seasoned veterans of the streets, each armed with a bat and an aggressive aura that was far beyond the capabilities of those laborers on the other side.

Moreover, Li Wei noticed that five of these gang members had bulges on the sides of their waists.

Without any unexpected events, it should be pistols.

However, it seemed that the Skull Gang members still had some concerns. The number of workers was indeed large, and if they used guns, it would cause too much noise and easily get them into trouble. After all, although the lower district was chaotic in terms of security, the police station would not really turn a blind eye if there were too serious problems, especially if it involved gangs like the Skull Gang that must have records with the local police station doing too outrageous things.

Moreover, they really didn't need to use guns.

More than a dozen Skull gang members, wielding clubs, beat them up without any word. Although they were outnumbered, their momentum was obviously more than what the workers on the other side could withstand.

Li Wei, who was observing from the shadows, didn't have much confidence in these workers. If nothing unexpected happened, it wouldn't take long for the stick-wielding gangsters to scatter these workers.

But now, the situation has become chaotic, which is a good opportunity for him to act.

He jumps off the rooftop and heads towards the melee. The attention of both sides is on each other, and no one seems to notice Li Wei's approach.

Wearing a dusty pair of jeans and an old black jacket, Li Wei ignores the chaos of the fight. His crimson eyes are tightly locked onto Zhang Xi, moving steadily and pushing into the crowd.

His hand reaches into his coat. A gust of wind blows, lifting a corner of his black jacket, revealing the tightly gripped silver handle of a gun.

It wasn't until he approached to within twenty or thirty meters of the brawl site, when Zhang Xi, who had not participated in the battle, finally noticed someone approaching.

  But this distance was enough.

Li Wei has now obtained the Sharingan ability, and his dynamic vision has improved by countless levels, which is obviously of great help in gun skills.

He took out the silvery SN97 pistol from his arms, aimed the dark muzzle at Zhang Xi who just turned his head, and pulled his finger repeatedly!

"Bang, Bang, Bang, Bang..." Seven consecutive gunshots, a magazine was shot out in the blink of an eye, all seven light engraved bullets were precisely sent into Zhang Xi's body.

Forehead, neck, heart, right lung, spleen... Seven bullets, Seven fatal wounds!

With a shocked look and a face full of disbelief, Zhang Xi fell backwards.

  The whole scene was silent.
