Sloan stared down at me like I had suddenly grown two heads and I quickly realized why, which made my eyes widen as I hurried to clarify.
"Not because I want to though!" I rushed to add.
Sloan blinked slowly before finally nodding once. "Oh." He stated, then he tugged me closer to him with his grip on the collar of the shirt he just helped me into.
"Why then?"
I let out a slow breath, holding his eyes as I responded. "I- it was the king," I revealed after hesitating for a moment.
He didn't react at first, then a sharp look settled in his eyes.
"What?!" He echoed and I swallowed emptily.
"He asked me to not ever come to your wing anymore." I revealed and a frown settled over his face. He looked angry now, and I shivered a little.
"So… he sent for you? He spoke to you himself or sent someone to you?" He demanded and I nodded.
"He sent for me and that's when he warned me." I revealed and he let out a chuckle that didn't sound funny to me in any way.
