I knew that Sloan hadn't been joking when he said that and that made me shiver as a lick of fright went down my spine. He grabbed my hand and began to drag me down the hallway in his father's wing. A few maids who were walking past, instantly gasped with fear as soon as they noticed Slpsn, but Sloan was unfazed as usual as he kept stalking forward. He didn't stop walking for a moment till we arrived before a particular spot where about thirty guards were gathered together.
They were all laughing and drinking, but as soon as we were spotted, they all grew frozen from fear. Some of them even fell on their ass from fright.
"Stand up, everyone!" Sloan thundered and they all scrambled to do as told. I instantly recognized some of the guards that grabbed me this afternoon when I had been heading over to Sloan's.
