Chapter 17 - Of Space and Time

Chizuru stopped all his simulations halting his ability to predict the future. He needed all the processing power he could muster for this one single simulation. He set the range of the simulation to the entire solar system and deeper into the fabric of spacetime into the dimensions layered and connected over the entire system and all of its planets. Hundreds of millions of his processing units both brains of the deceased and even advanced supercomputers he had recovered from Kagaku were put to work to push this simulation as far out into space and time as he could go. The entirety of the Great Void trembled as Chizuru exerted himself to the absolute limit.

Chizuru quickly looked up. His eyes were pointed at extremely distant objects in orbit.

"The Inventory. What a fitting name for a place filled with weapons that can blow up the planet."

Chizuru's cognition reached farther, across the vast expanse of outer space between planets. Seeking to encompass the entire solar system with his vision.

"What! A planet with technology on it! Ambus is its name?"

Chizuru appeared in the void of space approaching the planet Ambus. He wished to witness this marvel with his own eyes. A project started by Mikitaka and finished by Mitsuo the first and last leader of Kagaku.

Chizuru bounced off a barrier as he approached the planet.

"A planetary forcefield!"

It even deflected Chizuru's authority as an outer god. He could only obtain a satellite view of the planet with his powers. The barrier was enormously powerful, enough that Chizuru didn't believe he could break it with brute force anytime soon.

"So many discoveries with just a single expansion into space."

Chizuru's cognition penetrated through the dimensions until he could percieve the warps all over space.

"So that's how the Otsutsuki get around planets with portals."

The entirety of space was populated with some kind of natural energy generated by stars. This star energy created veins big and small all throughout space within and beyond Chizuru's vision. Similar to the dragon veins of natural energy in the shinobi world. They were influenced by gravity and the natural energy of planets with life.

'The otsutsuki must use spacetime jutsu to peform interstellar travel between planets by connecting to these veins of star energy. It's also how they find planets seeded with life for them to consume.'

Chizuru's cognition reached to end of the solar system before stopping.

'Ah the reason the Otsutsuki are not coming so soon is because the star veins are thinned around our system. They must have some kind of trouble detecting our planet. Or the thinned star veins have weaker signifiers of natural energy making them ignore earth because of its perceived lack of natural energy.'

Chizuru's simulation began reaching into the future. It simulated how the star veins would naturally thicken over time leading to Momoshiki, Kinshiki, and Urashiki invading earth. The simulation reached the juvenile 10 tails hidden away and the hidden away Karasuki. It simulated how somehow the canon events of Naruto would still play out in and AU fashion and Boruto too.

His simulation went even farther to the end of the shinobi era at the end of Boruto. Beyond the death of Naruto and Sasuke. 40 years to where wars with technology at Kagaku's level happen again. 80 years with another war. 200 years where there was peace. 600 years beyond canon where the final ninja war took place. 1000 years beyond canon.

"The simulation broke..."

Chizuru felt a grave dissapointment. His epiphany to simulate to his absolute limits had hit a wall.

Another simulation this time the Otsutsuki succeed and the planet is destroyed. Ambus becomes active and sends probes towards Earth. 400 years pass and the planet is revitalized. With civilization and-

"Wait... did how did civilization appear again after the Otsutsuki caused humanities extinction in this simulation? Restart the simulation."

The simulation restarted. Exact same variables, it would go the same.

Chizuru closely monitored the simulation as soon as Ambus began to revitalize the planet with terraforming technology.

"When did humans get reintroduced?"

Suddenly his simulation skipped a year. And there were humans on the planet.

"These are the same humans from before the Otsutsuki won. And my simulation seemed to skip an entire year of time. A whole unsimulated year... There's only one situation where my simulations fail. Toshiko and Mikitaka, the previous transmigrators."

Chizuru had thoroughly checked and no new transmigrators appeared in any of his simulations, it could only be them. Chizuru sat completely still, he stared at the screen and contemplated what kind of arrangement he had just discovered. Before he had simulated the end of the world and that was that, the world had simply ended. Only now where he had included the entire solar system including Ambus did he discover that something like this would happend if the Otsutsuki win.

"Let's see what happens if I destroy the world."

Another simulation where the Great Void expanded and his anomalies rampaged until the world ended happened. Then once again a whole year within the simulation was skipped and... the planets just disappeared. Earth and Ambus simply weren't there anymore.

Chizuru kept on simulating. He no longer cared for the fascinating developments and absurd powers developed in the wars after Naruto Canon or even the Final Ninja War. He kept on simulating scenarios where the missing year kept on happening. Every time humanity goes extinct. Or some kind of long term apocalypse happens. Or the Otsutsuki win. A year is skipped and Ambus and Earth disappear from space itself.

It was frustrating and fulfilling for Chizuru. He had encountered a real mystery for himself, once again it was tied to those two transmigrators. And even though he could barely create a single simulation of the solar system because compared to a planet the solar system is 10s of billions of times larger. And his simulations did not compromise on simulation even the vast vacuum of space between planets. His idea was correct.

[Template: Mastermind 32.88%]

His template was finally progressing again. He had delved deeper into the mysterious and uncovered more about the future than he ever would have if he just simulated earth over and over.

"This is not the story where the original Mastermind is from. I'm not on a planet that can produce multiple other individuals with calibers and abilities of the same power system and caliber. Capable of creating challenges that advance my template with just a single planets worth of space. Scaling up like this is the best way for me to stretch my powers as an outer god, and discover more."

Chizuru nodded to himself in satisfaction.

"When I see Toshiko again I'll have completed my template."
