Markus stared in awe at Lisa, his heart beating a little faster as he stared at her naked body floating in a vat of liquid.

Alongside him, his clones unlike him were full on busy, extracting blood from their subject but he could feel the sense of accomplishment each of them had which he too mirrored.

How could he not?

They had finally gotten one step closer to their goal after all.

He hadn't really put much hope on their first experiment working out or achieving this much success.

His eyes roamed the hunters body, he studied it with great interest as if staring at a mystery.

Lisa's body had changed for lack of better words, her appearance becoming more refined with curves that were definitely not there before alongside the sudden beauty that the serum had granted her.

A trait that he attributed with being a vampire, but he couldn't be to sure as he hadn't met many vampires aside from that one encounter.

It wasn't her body though that he focused on the most, even if he felt the sudden tightness of his pants.

Instead he was focusing on a screen only he could see.

A direct result of one of his newest skills, [Analysis].

Staring at the former hunters information he grinned.

This was what he was seeking, power.

This was the sole reason why he wanted to become a supernatural creature, just from transitioning into a Chimera between human and vampire the woman's stats had increased twofold without the use of runes.

Though seeing the steep leap in stats he wondered what a full vampires stats looked like now, or what a werewolves stats looked like.

Another thing of note though was that all the runes on her body had disappeared, burning up in white light just as her cells had started bonding with the vampire cells.

Something else to study.

Looking through her perks and abilities he raised a brow in slight surprise.

The Daywalker Perk allowed her a couple benefits, one being able to walk in sunlight without immediately combusting into flames, another allowed her to sate herself with normal food for a time before she needed to drink blood and the last one

What he was surprised more for though from the perk list were the last two perks.

Bloody Mary, a weird name by his thought process had it so that any vampire that drank her blood would be sated of their hunger for a month, not feeling the cravings to feed for that time period while giving temporary boosts to their physical stats.

A useful perk and resource if he ever needed to do dealings with the bloodsuckers.

The last one was a perk that had it so that the more blood the user drank, the stronger they got, though this depended on how pure the blood they drank was.

The purity of the blood from what he understood, from using his [Aura Source] to comprehend the underlying notes of the perk had many requirements— such as a virgins blood, a healthy humans blood and so on but each one of these requirements for someone's blood to be pure all had something to do with some kind of 'purity'.

Then there were her abilities.

Hypnosis needed not be explained, he had already seen it from when he obtained the blood of the vampire he used in this very experiment. Allowing someone to put hypnotic thoughts into someone's mind, basically mind fucking them to do what the user wanted.

Then there was Sanguine Velocity, an ability that allowed vampires to accelerate their speeds, in any humans eyes looking like a blur as their speed tripled from their base.

All in all, Lisa was a resounding success.

Now though she would be nothing more than study material, alongside physical material as already his clones were draining her of blood to study.

She would never see the light of day if he had anything to say about it, well maybe if he obtained something that could allow him to control her then maybe she would be useful aside from all the former plans he had for her.

After all, he wouldn't mind watching the faces of the hunters as a former comrade of theirs broke them piece by piece— it would be another form of revenge to them in a way.

" Sir."

Markus blinked, tearing his eyes away from the beauty that laid in a vat of clear white liquid.

Looking at one of his clones, one that definitely dressed differently from his other clones which were focused on scientific persuits— this one dressed in all black, his face hidden behind a mask with their hoodie up.

His entire attire screamed shady aside from the magic that wavered through their entire attire, having been enchanted to allow them to blend seamlessly with the shadows with the help of sigils weaved into their clothes which was further boosted when they used [Aura Stealth].

This was his recon clone, a clone that he had given the task of keeping him informed on his family and those around him while also gathering information on anything noteworthy, like vampire dens—because his small supply of blood was running out.

" You got information?" Markus asked, even though if he wanted he could have simply connected his mind with the clone and immediately gotten all its memories.

But he didn't, solely because even if he was surrounded by his clones he still had that urge to socialize—to fill a sense of emptiness inside him that he hadn't realised was even there, one he now understood had been filled with his mother after he found himself in this world.

" Yes sir, things are seemingly progressing faster than we first estimated." The Recon clone muttered.

Markus raised a brow at that, curious." How so?"
