In a dream,
In Hou's memories that Hamar had inherited, he felt his final moments before being sealed. The memories were imperfect but Hamar could get the gist of them.
As Hou was fighting Xiao Ye, a member of Yi Sect, he was trying to be recruited. In their fight Xiao Ye found out he knew the truth and tried to bring him over.
They told him their philosophy, that they need to destroy this world to be truly free. Yet in that moment, he decided that was not what he wanted.
That's when he created the dragons by splitting his quasi-Nascent Soul and three parts. He left the biggest portion to himself and sent out two smaller portions into the world.
One meant for Hamar and another as a backup, which went to Jin. Hamar couldn't tell since the memories were fragmented, but he realised that while his dragon told him about the truth, about everything, the other dragon contained different information.
Boom!
Hamar woke up suddenly as a loud bang sounded out. He sat up in a bed and breathed roughly, looking to his side he saw where he was.
"Home..."
Then Hamar remembered that last part of the dream, "Jin's dragon...." He threw off his bed sheets and got dressed.
He opened his balcony and looked down, sensing his aura levels. He had a small amount of aura left as he had been asleep and only absorbed the mana passively.
"That golden tinge...Hou must've known something. I'll dig through memories soon, I can't forget to tell Jin what I found out."
He stood on that balcony and looked down at his skin, it looked tougher and just beneath the surface he could see almost illusionary scales.
Then he scanned his body and felt something. He twitched muscles on his back and a lift was generated, not only that a buzzing occurred.
He looked behind himself, to see flapping insectoid wings.
"The transformation from Yi Sect's technique to bypass the world censorship!" Quickly he felt his head, feeling two hard horns.
He placed the message he needed to relay to Jin in the back of his mind as he floated down with his white aura.
He was atop a mountain in a hut, below which a city stood tall. This was his home, but right now he did not fly directly there, instead to a small lake.
Hamar looked at his reflection on the water, he looked deathly pale and had draconic features. When he moved, it was like a brush of ink had painted him.
He tried to suppress the draconic transformation with aura and nothing happened until he had an idea and pulled out that mysterious golden energy.
Suddenly, the draconic features waned and his skin had a healthy glow. Then as he continued to pour that golden energy, a faint crown appeared before his head, and a golden sword appeared by his side.
Both features, crown and sword, were very faint and as his golden energy reserves lowered, they flickered. He tried to reinforce the energy with aura and saw it become less golden, but more and more solid.
He picked up the sword and lightly slashed at the lake. With that simple slash, the water was cut and waves formed on either side of the cut to rush back into the empty space.
Hamar coughed up some blood and let go of that sword, letting his golden energy recede. He fell to his knees and winced, "Too little aura right now..."
He sat down fully and closed his eyes, starting to breathe deeply. As he did, the air stirred around him and he absorbed mana.
As it passed through his body, he used the technique he had been taught to Hou which swordsmasters use to turn mana into aura. As it did, he felt his aura return but also that golden core expand slightly.
He continued to breathe and absorb mana, up until he had a sufficient amount of aura to defend himself in a pinch and fly for an hour.

"Jin!"
Hamar flew down and landed next to the black haired woman. She had long silky hair and pale skin, around her neck a blank white serpent lay.
He stumbled a moment before being caught by Jin, "Are you injured, you should've stayed in bed to recover. Your master brought me here, do you happen to know why? Is it the dragon Hou had left me?"
Hamar made a noise before shaking his head, "I don't know exactly why master would've brought you here but it is likely, as you say, the dragon."
He did not know whether Jin knew about the operation to save Hou. He knew it was a top secret operation so did not allude to it yet unless she mentioned it.
Placing his hands on her shoulders he spoke, "But I do have to tell you something with your dragon."
As he spoke, he felt his draconic horns lengthen, he quietly suppressed them with that golden aura before continuing.
"I believe Hou left you an inheritance inside that dragon. I do not know yet how to access it though for you..." He let go and stepped back, "look"
He closed his eyes and brought forth that golden light, he did not know exactly what it was but it manifested after the dragon had merged with him so he guessed it must be part of the 'inheritance' along with the memories.
He hair turned blonde and a giant golden crown and sword appeared in his grasp, he opened his eyes and shot down that suppressive force to Jin.
For a moment she felt the force and bowed down to one knee, feeling a mysterious force.
Hamar dropped the suppression and let go of his golden energy, "This is one benefit I have gotten from Hou's inheritance..." He held out his hand to Jin.
She took it and stood up, brushing herself down, "Well I don't appreciate the forced bowing but that is interesting, do you have an idea what my inheritance includes?"
Hamar chuckled, "I do, listen carefully and keep it secret."
He sent out a barrier of white aura before speaking, "I believe your inheritance includes the secrets of 'magic', you can become a mage!"
"Magic...mage...what are those?" Jin only became more confused.
Hamar wanted to slap his own face as he realised, not many people knew of mages. It was only Hou in this world who was a mage so of course nobody knew.
"I can't do it well or the same as you will but watch."
Hamar carefully drew a circle with his aura and he placed in a rock into the centre of the formation. Mysterious symbols and runes Jin could not comprehend sat throughout the circle, it didn't look like any formation she had seen before. The rock sat in the circle of white aura and started to shake.
Then as he finished the magic circle and sent in more white aura, the circle activated and the stone turned into an aura crystal.
"This is just a simple ability, with magic you can manipulate laws which are not your own on large scale using little mental energy."
