Chapter 1 - The End of One Life, The Beginning of Another

Prologue – The End of One Life, The Beginning of Another

Sharma was an ordinary software engineer working in an IT company. He came from a middle-class family and had worked hard all his life to build a happy future.

His greatest happiness was his fiancée, Rin. They had been in love for three years, and he believed they would soon start a new life together.

On the way to work one morning, Sharma stopped in front of a jewelry shop. Today, he wanted to buy an engagement ring that would surprise Rin.

As he entered the shop, the salesman smiled.

"Who are you buying this ring for, sir?"

"My fiancée," Sharma replied with a proud smile.

He looked through many expensive rings, but one unusual ring caught his attention. It was old, covered in strange engravings, and had a deep red gemstone in the center. It sat alone in the corner of the display case.

"I want that one," Sharma said.

The salesman looked surprised but handed it over. Without hesitation, Sharma bought the mysterious ring for $10,000.

Holding the small gift box, he happily went to work.

When he reached the office, Thea wasn't at her desk. Thinking she was busy, he waited.

An hour and a half later, during the lunch break, Sharma went to the rooftop for some fresh air.

There, his world collapsed.

Thea was standing close to another man. They laughed together like lovers. The expensive clothes, luxury watch, and sports car nearby made it obvious that the man was far wealthier than Sharma.

His heart shattered.

Without saying a word, he quietly returned to his cabin.

A few minutes later, Thea entered and sat down as if nothing had happened. She noticed Sharma looked upset but showed no concern.

Then her eyes landed on the gift box on his desk.

"What is this?" she asked.

"I bought it for you," Sharma answered softly.

Without even opening it, she pushed it back toward him.

"Don't buy these cheap gifts for me again."

She walked away without another glance.

She never knew that the ring inside had cost more than Sharma had saved in years.

She had already chosen someone richer.

After work, Sharma wandered alone to a quiet roadside park. Sitting on a bench, he stared at the ring in his hand.

Three years of love...

Destroyed in a single minute.

As tears filled his eyes, he wondered where everything had gone wrong.

Suddenly, a frightened scream echoed across the road.

A little child had run into the street, and a speeding truck was racing toward them.

Without thinking, Sharma sprinted forward.

He pushed the child to safety.

Crash!

The child survived.

Sharma was thrown onto the road, his body covered in blood.

As he lay dying, his blood flowed onto the ancient ring, soaking the crimson gemstone.

The gem began to glow.

No one noticed.

Minutes later, inside the ambulance, Sharma took his final breath.

Darkness swallowed everything.

...

When he opened his eyes again, he was no longer on Earth.

His soul had arrived in another world—

A world known as the Falsegod Continent.

The story of the greatest legend was about to begin.
