Chapter 25 - Chapter 25

"Hahaha, you're absolutely right! The progress of science requires exposure to new things!" Dr. Brief laughed heartily, nodding at Raiga with satisfaction.

Raiga shrugged and then opened the hatch of the spaceship.

The two of them boarded the ship, and as soon as Dr. Brief stepped inside, he eagerly began studying the interior. Since this was his first time coming into contact with alien technology, everything seemed novel to him. As the inventor of the Capsule Corporation's breakthrough capsule technology, Dr. Brief was undoubtedly a genius. After a thorough inspection, he quickly grasped the general level of alien technology present in the ship.

A rough blueprint for modifications was already forming in his mind.

"Let me confirm one thing—you really want to build a training chamber with 100 times Earth's gravity inside this ship? You realize that under such conditions, a person weighing 60 kilograms would suddenly have to bear a weight of 6000 kilograms! And that's not even the main concern—the real danger comes from internal damage. No human on Earth could withstand such gravity."

Dr. Brief warned Raiga about the dangers of such high gravity.

If it were simply about carrying weight, 6000 kilograms wasn't a big deal—just six tons, roughly the weight of a cubic meter of iron. However, a gravity environment is vastly different from simply carrying a load. Gravity distributes its force evenly, affecting every cell in the body. In an extreme gravitational environment, a person's internal organs, blood vessels, body tissues, and even the brain would experience immense pressure. If not handled carefully, the consequences could be catastrophic.

Even Saiyans, with their superior physical endurance, would find it incredibly dangerous.

In the original story, Goku trained under 100 times Earth's gravity and nearly died multiple times. If not for consuming Senzu Beans when he was completely exhausted, he wouldn't have survived to reach Namek. But thanks to this rigorous training—combined with Senzu Bean recovery and the Saiyan's natural resilience—his power level skyrocketed from 8000 when he left Earth to an astounding 90,000.

Given that Raiga had access to a sufficient supply of Senzu Beans, he wasn't about to pass up this training opportunity.

"Doctor, please proceed with the construction of the gravity chamber. There won't be any problems," Raiga assured him confidently.

Seeing Raiga's firm stance, Dr. Brief lit a cigarette, took a slow drag, and exhaled. "Fine, I'll handle the modifications, but I still recommend against setting the gravity too high. Be cautious when using it."

"I'll be careful."

Raiga agreed readily. He then helped transport the spaceship to a Capsule Corporation manufacturing facility near West City, where the modifications would take place.

Of course, while Dr. Brief was busy upgrading the spaceship, Raiga wasn't sitting idly by. Though his combat power was already unmatched on Earth, he knew that in the vast universe, he was far from being strong enough to even guarantee his survival. Understanding this, Raiga was determined not to waste a single moment.

For the next few weeks, Raiga found a secluded place near the facility to focus on training, reinforcing his foundation and undergoing intense physical conditioning.

During this time, Tights visited him, seeking advice for her new novel. She was apparently writing a story about Saiyans, incorporating concepts like power levels, Korin Tower, and the Guardian of Earth. The setting was based on Earth, as she was still unaware that Saiyans were actually an alien race.

At first, she had intended to include the legend of the Dragon Balls, but for some reason, she ultimately decided against it. Perhaps she realized that such an extraordinary revelation might cause too much confusion.

Raiga shared his insights with her, which she eagerly noted down before happily leaving. Before departing, she curiously asked about the modifications happening at the facility. Upon learning it was a gravity chamber, she quickly lost interest.

And so, the days passed.

Raiga devoted himself to intense training, applying Saiyan combat techniques he had recalled from his knowledge, pushing his body's limits to continuously strengthen himself. By the time the gravity chamber was completed, his power level had risen from 460 to 520—a significant improvement.

One month later, the modifications were finished. As soon as Raiga received the news, he rushed over to Dr. Brief, where he found the scientist covered in oil and grease.

"Doctor, where's the gravity chamber?" Raiga asked, slightly out of breath.

"Come with me."

Dr. Brief, cigarette still in his mouth, led Raiga to where the modified spaceship was stationed. The Capsule Corporation manufacturing facility was massive, covering an extensive area. Only a handful of similar high-tech factories existed worldwide.

Inside a large assembly hangar, Raiga laid eyes on his spaceship once more—but it looked nothing like before. Although it retained its original dimensions—30 meters in length and over 8 meters in height—the entire exterior had been overhauled. The metallic paint, improved ergonomic design, and restructured interior made it seem like an entirely different vessel. Additionally, the Capsule Corporation logo was now prominently displayed on the side.

"Incredible. I can barely recognize it!" Raiga exclaimed in admiration after inspecting the ship.

Dr. Brief pointed to the upgraded spaceship with pride. "As per your request, I've converted the rear half of the ship into a large-scale gravity training chamber, capable of reaching up to 100 times Earth's gravity. The front half still contains the cockpit and now includes four rooms—two on the upper level and two on the lower level. Oh, and I've also upgraded the ship's propulsion and communication systems."

He handed Raiga several wristwatch-like devices. "These communicators provide real-time transmissions, even across different planets, with zero delay. Plus, they have a built-in holographic projection function. They're perfect for listening to music!"

Dr. Brief grew even more enthusiastic as he demonstrated his latest invention, clearly thrilled about the music-playing feature.

Raiga was thoroughly impressed with the ship's enhancements, though he couldn't help but find Dr. Brief's peculiar passion for music technology amusing.

Stepping into the gravity chamber, Dr. Brief gave Raiga a quick tutorial on how to operate the equipment. "This chamber doesn't just adjust gravity—it also allows you to regulate temperature and atmospheric pressure. You can simulate all sorts of extreme environments. The chamber is made of a special ultra-durable alloy, so you don't have to worry about structural failures."

"Thank you. This will allow me to train at ease," Raiga responded gratefully.

"Just be careful when using it," Dr. Brief reminded him.

Raiga nodded. Once Dr. Brief left, he immediately set the gravity to 10 times Earth's normal level. As the machine hummed to life, he instantly felt a tremendous force pressing down on his body. His eyes lit up with excitement—this gravity was equivalent to Planet Vegeta's environment.

"Amazing! It really feels like I'm back on Planet Vegeta."

He gradually increased the gravity. At 16 times Earth's gravity, he could still move comfortably, but when he pushed it to 20 times, he began struggling. His breathing became labored, and his brain started experiencing oxygen deprivation.

Without hesitation, Raiga shut off the gravity controls. He now had a clear understanding of his current physical limits.

He then tested the temperature, atmospheric pressure, and other environmental settings. After thoroughly experiencing all the features, he was completely satisfied with the chamber's capabilities.
