"…So, what do you think?"
"Huh?" Felix blinked, lifting his eyes. The dinner was already over, and he and Kade were leaving the guest house (with Vivi in Kade's arms, of course), but he was still lost in his thoughts, barely registering what was going on around him. He had just mindlessly followed Kade, and he naturally could hear that the Alpha was saying something to him… But Kade started with his usual nonsense, so Felix quickly zoned out completely.
Until now, that is. At some point, Kade's tone turned more serious, but Felix hadn't noticed it in time.
"You weren't listening," seeing Felix's consternation, Kade took a guess. Or rather, stated the obvious.
"I wasn't," Felix didn't even try to deny it.
Kade wasn't offended by it or anything, though. He just nodded his head, as he said, "You looked out of it during dinner as well. Is something wrong?"
Felix pressed his lips, not saying anything for a minute.
