"What did she say?" Jamie was sitting on the couch inside of her mansion, a gift that she had received from Henry after the two of them slept together for the first time. Something she was quite proud of.
With a magazine in her hands, she flipped through the pages and remarked, "Did she agree to send the contract back in three days? I am quite an impatient woman and cannot wait for more than that."
However, she didn't receive the response that she wanted to hear. Frowning, she turned to look at Audrey, who was standing a few steps away from the couch and questioned impatiently, "Why are you standing there like a mute? I am asking you something. Answer me. When is that woman going to get that contract signed and sent?"
Audrey sighed. She knew that she couldn't hide the truth from Jamie for long; thus, she sighed and spoke in a voice so low that it was barely above a whisper, "She refused to sign the contract."
