Mia paused and turned to look behind her. She sighed and said, "Sorry, I didn't bring any fucks to give when I left my house this morning, some other day."
After she finished speaking, she turned on her heels and walked away, leaving Audrey stunned. She had met with Mia a few times, and the woman had given her the impression that she was not any fiercer than a lost puppy.
But now that whimpering puppy was baring her teeth at her.
"Miss Wills, please wait a moment." Audrey snapped out of her daze and chased after Mia, who was heading towards her car. With her glaring red high heels, she came to a stop in front of Mia and said to her, "There is something that I wanted to talk to you about."
"No thanks," Mia, who was rummaging for the key in her purse, replied in a calm voice. She thought that the next time she saw Audrey and Jamie, she might not be able to hold herself back and say something really harsh.
