The kiss between Eryx and Lunara deepened, the room dim and quiet except for the sound of their breaths. Her hands found their way to the back of his neck, tugging him closer, as if she could pull him into the moment forever.
But then, the buzz of his phone cut through the silence, vibrating on the nightstand.
Eryx groaned, his lips still pressing against Lunara's as he tried to ignore the persistent buzzing. He didn't want to stop, didn't want to break the heated connection between them, but the phone wouldn't let up. His hand tightened around her waist, as if holding her would somehow stop the interruptions.
Lunara pulled back slightly, her eyes narrowing in amusement. "You're really going to ignore that?" she asked, her voice muffled as Eryx kissed her again, unwilling to let the moment slip away.
