Eryx stood outside, leaning casually against the porch railing. His phone was pressed to his ear, and his voice was kept low to make sure it wouldn't be heard by anyone else.
"Yeah," Callum said on the other end. "We got him. Took longer than expected, but he's not going anywhere now."
Eryx let out a short breath, his fingers drumming lightly against the railing. "Good. Keep him there. I'll handle the rest later."
He was about to end the call when Naomi suddenly walked out through the front door. He turned his head slightly and saw she was dressed up neatly, even prettily.
"Where are you going?" he asked, pushing off the railing and walking forward, closing the distance between them.
Naomi stopped, surprised by his sudden question.
"I'll call you back," Eryx muttered into the phone before slipping it into his pocket. His eyes narrowed slightly as he took in her appearance.
"It looks like you've been loving to go out lately. With who?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.
