After the brave words spoken by Shad Darc he couldn't afford to waste any more time he can stay in tree forever after all.
With that he went back into training about an hour or so he made another progress. The progress allowed him to crudely control the energy outwardly rather than just absorbing it and strengthening his physical capabilities and now outwardly control the flow of energy albeit crudely.
He then came up with an idea which was, what if he could somehow wrap his short dagger with the flow of energy.
It sounded crazy to him but he is a man of curiosity after all.
He held the dagger on his left hand stare at it for while thinking of the endless possibilities before him.
Clearing away unwanted thoughts he then focused on the task ahead.
While holding the short dagger on his left hand he began to first channel the flow of energy which he has recently absorb into the short dagger.
He doesn't know why things are progressing this smoothly or why he seems to just know what to do how to do it but one thing he is certain of is that there is a truth to uncover in this strange world.
There are no real reason why he feels like that nor couldn't he explain why it is so but with time and action the truth will be revealed but before then he should survive.
"Damn my mind is wandering again I better focused"
One of the thing he came to accept about himself is that he has an unstable state of mind he almost always overthink things a lot and also he really have fixed thought in mind for his thought are in random.
Sighing out he urges himself to calm down. "Calm down and focus"
With his mind settle at the moment he resumed channeling the flow of energy into his short dagger.
After doing this for about two hours he became drain and totally exhausted and collapsed on the wide branch.
He looks up at the now approaching night time while panting heavily.
Well at least he has come to know another attribute to this flow of energy which is when used beyond intended capacity and limit of the user total flow of energy the side effect is that it puts on a mental and physical strain on the user.
Which is the reason why he is now in this state of total exhaustion.
He thought of re absorbing the flow of energy once more into his body but he instantly let the thought down.
Though this a new world with supernatural phenomenon, but he respected the fact that one most rest when truly tired he doesn't really buy the idea of going beyond one's innate limit under strenuous situation.
"I am not some kind of protagonist who feeds off on willpower"
Another thing he always consider about himself is that he is not someone special or unique nor some kind of protagonist in some kind of story all he knows is that he was born for something, to do something and to achieve something.
And that is a question he has been asking himself for a very long time now almost every day of his life he all always ask what his purpose was, and now finally he feels like he is a step closer to his answers.
He then immediately feel asleep. After a good one hour rest Shad Darc woke up feeling refreshed.
Immediately after waking up he decided to absorb the flow of energy so he can continue with his experiment on how to control the flow of energy outwardly.
After absorbing a certain amount of Flow of energy he then noticed something quite interesting.
The amount of flow of energy he can now absorb has increased by about one percent which means the total amount of energy he can now absorb is one percent more than before.
He then soon understand the reason for this it is quite simple after all. Which is the fact that he exhausted his entire body of the flow of energy and rested instead of reabsorbing it.
That means the act of resting after exhaustion tends to increase the amount of flow of energy one can absorb even if it is by a minuscular amount.
"Or maybe I might be wrong".
"Well let's say you are both right and wrong at the same time" said the meditating advisor identity.
"Go on explain further"
"Let see, you are right in a sense that exhausting your entire flow of energy makes room for absorbing more than before but you are also wrong in sense that it doesn't really has to be when one rest after exhausting his entire flow of energy"
"Let's put it plainly you have insufficient data to determine if exhausting one's flow of energy led to an increase in the next absorption of flow of energy, there has to be some kind of conditions attached to it after all this is a world of the supernatural phenomenon".
"Hmm" Shad Darc then ponders for a while.
"Well let's just leave at that then".
'Why I am feeling as if everything is happening to fast as if I am only recovering something that is lost from'.
'Strange, I really need to find answers to this' he shook his head and continues to pour in energy into the short dagger.
Like this hours came and went and in those times he was slowly but surely making progress.
By now he is able to control the flow of energy he has channel into his short dagger. He would not consider it good enough yet but at least he is making some progress which is all that matters at the moment.
He then move on to the next stage of his experiment which is how to control the outward flow of energy using the one he has imbued in his short dagger as a medium.
Another thing he came to know about the flow of energy is that the moment he absorb it into his body two things or maybe three things happens
Firstly the energy no longer belongs to the outside world but to him instead why is that so he doesn't know for now.
Secondly the flow of energy seems to act as fuel in one's body supplying him with stored energy which can be used later on just as when one eats food and the body then convert the food into nutrient necessary for the functionality of the body while storing the rest as glucose but later usage, but unlike food this one just straight up increases your physical and mental capabilities even though he is yet to see it first hand.
And thirdly if circulated properly it seems to permanently attaches itself to one's very being permanently increasing one's overall physical stats even if the changes is very minute he can somehow feel it.
Well those are the three added thngs he now know and understand about flow of energy for now. Back to his experiment, because of the fact that the flow of energy absorb belongs to one's own and not to the world any longer it now has a form of attraction force to the outside flow of energy in a sense that it now works as a two side of a magnet the north and the south pole.
And by using this attraction one can at least control the outside flow of energy around him/her but that is not his main concern at the moment.
His main concern is how he can control the outside flow of energy on his dagger only.
By confining it to a small space he should be able to have some rudimentary control on the outside energy.
After some trials and failure he finally get a hang of it.
And by doing so his short dagger began to glow with faint sky blue transparent color.
He then smiles his heart beat strangely racing
"So it is now time" said the pondering fighter identity.
"Of course it is, I have kept the creature waiting for too long after all"
The first thing he thought of after this little accomplishment of his is to kill the bear like creature.
"Oh, how bold of you" said sarcastically the lonely king identity.
He didn't respond the voice after all it is just him talking to himself rather he stood up and stretchout his body then look up at the now night sky of this strange and thought to himself.
'I wonder where I am getting this false confidence from'
He then looked down at the bearlike creature which has now stood up also as if to welcome him.
He smirk at the bearlike creature without hint of fear or doubt about his survival.
"Ah, I thank you for your patience with me and now you shall be rewarded in kind". And so he decided to face off the bearlike creature.
