"How did you learn the sword so well?" Rania asked as they walked into the complex. The place was silent, yet its beauty spoke for itself. The interior was divided into different sections, though she still had no idea what the building was meant for. Outside, she had noticed the taps and the connections to large reservoirs.
"Training, Princess Rania. I spent my entire life training," Xavier replied, standing beside her to oversee the cleaning. He wondered why Lord Rowland hadn't come. If the man were here, he would probably be the one standing beside the Princess, and Xavier could have gone to the cemetery to visit his family.
"How many battles have you fought in?" she asked, stealing a glance at him.
"Countless, Your Highness," he answered. The truth was, he had lost count long ago.
