Brand gripped his sword hilt tighter. If he could, he really wanted to leave this guy here. More so than killing Grudin, he preferred to eliminate this guy first. Unfortunately, he knew this wasn't realistic.
Bai smiled slightly at him, "There's half an hour left, let's make a deal."
Behind him, Grudin seemed to breathe a sigh of relief. The Baron forced a grim smile onto his stiff face, then chuckled darkly, watching Brand, who seemed to be at a loss at this moment, feeling a perverse pleasure from his predicament.
So much so that it seemed that even the imminent disaster for Fir City was entirely irrelevant to him, as if it wasn't his territory.
